At the Final Four. Seemed to be in good spirits and chatted at length about a few things and seems to be excited about a few of em:

-Really likes the energy of Boals and how he is handling things so far. The two talk at a lot of lengths about various topics.
-Apparently is still looking for assistant coach #3. Has hired his 2nd assistant, but not announced yet and expect something soon on this front.
-Since this week was a dead period, no recruiting is occurring, especially since I got hammered with a few coaches this week up here in Minnesota.
-Also, he has already 4 visits set for next week. Didn't mention names but has 4 kids coming to Athens for OV's.
-Lack of recruiting caliber kids along with locking up the backyard were two of the chief reasons why Saul wasn't retained. So take that for what it's worth
-Happy with how things have gone so far, thinks that we're going to be competing in a hurry at the top of the MAC within 3 years.
-Really seems to like the hire to take over sales. As one of my former interns taking over, I like him too and has my resources at his disposal as needed.
-Working him over on a Bobcat Caravan in Toledo, told him I may need to make a financial contribution to make it happen to/from Detroit during MAC Media Days.

One other tidbit: talked at length about McDay. Confirmed that he is coming to Athens. Boals has him sold. So no worries there at least from his perspective.

Ken is a Bobcat through and through. Gives props to "America's team" every chance he gets.

700 WLW usually includes the Bobcats' mens basketball scores the day after in their morning sports report including UC, Xavier, NKU etc.

The work done in Cincinnati between 700 WLW and 1530 AM is absolutely LIGHT YEARS ahead of the sports talk radio here in Columbus. Broo, Lance McAlister, Mo Egger all do solid work.

Assuming this holds true, this a nice first step in the recruiting for Boals and his staff.
