"While UB announced Whitesell's promotion, it did not say if members of UB's coaching staff will remain. However, Bryan Hodgson announced Saturday in a post on Twitter that he will join Oats' coaching staff at Alabama.
Whitesell has a five-year contract that runs through April 5, 2024. He will earn an annual base salary of $300,000 and additional compensation of $100,000, according to terms released by UB's athletic department.
Whitesell's contract terms also include various bonuses, including $10,000 if UB wins at least 20 games, and $15,000 if UB wins at least 24 games, $25,000 if UB earns an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, $30,000 if UB wins the MAC regular-season championship outright and $30,000 if UB wins the MAC Tournament championship.
Whitesell earned $134,501 in 2018-19 as an assistant coach, according to information obtained through a public records request."

IT LOOKS LIKE THE BULLS ADMINISTRATION DOES NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE SAME THEORY AS OHIO'S ADMINISTRATION AS OHIO PAYS THE NEXT COACH CONSIDERABLY MORE THAN THE LAST.

Don’t know if he’ll be able to replicate the Hurley/Oats success but Buffalo sure seems to have gotten him at a bargain basement price.

Buffalo might have been willing to pay more to the right guy but couldn't get their top choices.

According to reports, they're paying Boals $581k, while Saul made $550k. For many of us, a $31,000 raise would be a considerable raise. For the coaches making $500k+, I wouldn't call it "considerably more", as it's about 5.5%.
