Oates might not be the only departure. Their women's coach has interviewed for the Penn St job and is mentioned for Tennessee...
My gut says Penn State for her if she goes. As a Syracuse native I think she would want to stay in the region. Plus I think the folks in Happy Valley would be more patient than Knoxville.

Funny thing is, I thought the same thing about Nate when the Pitt job was available a year ago.

there was a time when wake forest was a national power and consistently a top 10 team. they had a guard named Randolph childress who could light it up like no other. jhon groce went from ohio to illinois to akron. how much sense si that . I could see oats leaving if a school like Kansas offered. I hope albama is paying 2or more times as much as Ub cause he is gonna have a hard time there with their higher expectations and the need to recruit much higher levelk talent to be competitive. h,ed better get connected with some good money launderers to buy top players the way all the big schools do.

This truly is an experimental account seeking to study the reactions of people, isn't it? You can admit it now.

B2000 Oats is actually going to make nearly 3 times his Buff salary. He’s getting just shy of 2.5 mil a year for 5 years plus various other goodies like cars and country club memberships. Bama’s last coach was getting 3+mil a year so Oats comes at a bargain. Even IF he flames out he’s always got the route a Groce took. Re-MAC it and enjoy the bank account. You just simply cannot pass up these type opportunities and like Groce, Oats iron may never have been hotter.
