Yeah well I wont ever be in Sauls corner after what he has done to the program the last 5 years. Just like I will never be in Hue Jacksons's corner.
It's as if you think it was intentional in both cases.

I admit, seeing saul on tv at the ndsu game in his bison gear, sitting with the ndsu fans, cheering profusely for them, and holding up his bison horns after a made basket really irked me. The last 5 years felt really fake after that display.
I do see a lot of great points here. I also feel like he was fake with his awww shucks demeanor. He seems like a decent dude but I don't feel the least bit bad about it because his family that is so diligently packing took our money and is better off financially than my own family. They can now retire to the Dakotas/Wisconsin/Finger Lakes Region for life and live in the shadows of Bo Ryan and Dick Bennett and be obscure. As an Assistant Coach he will be great for making jokes and letting guys not get better. Enjoy North Dakota again Saul and thanks for never getting us to a MAC championship game.
Why are you still here? You said in the past you were done. Your hatred for our most recent coach shows you to be a sad alum .. or maybe you never graduated.

Your comments about the "fake" aspect shows how truly lost you are. Obviously you know NOTHING about finances. He cannot retire anytime soon to any place. $2.5 million over 5 years after taxes does NOT put a person in a situation to retire in their mid 40's with kids at home. Educate yourself.

Huh? Lost me here. Would you have a problem with Nate Oats leaving Buffalo next week and his new team misses the tourney next year, but he decided to go watch Buffalo play in the NCAA Tourney? What am I missing here?

Were Saul and this basketball program a perfect marriage...nope...not even close. But holy cow...I never once thought there was anything fake about Saul. That never crossed my mind. He just couldn't recruit at this level. Now if you want to call out someone for an awww shucks fake demeanor...that would be Phil Mickelson. Not Saul Phillips. You missed the boat on this take.
