I will not be given to your antagonism, anybody can see that his game has cratered since declaring for the draft and transferring to Michigan. He went from creating his own shots at Ohio to missing layups and open j’s at Michigan and now in Europe. The article says that he failed to live up to the teams expectations.

Maybe we can have a MEDIation, you seem to take my opinions so personal. We may have different aspirations, but we are both Cat fans.

Cussing won’t help the MEDIation, nor will denial of the facts. Jaaron is not the same player period, we had a backup point guard last in a German a league for a few years. Whether I know him personally or not, we can all see this if our emotions have not clouded our vision, we can go back to jaaron’s interviews at Michigan and see that he lost his confidence. We can be rational or mad an irrational, I choose the latter.

That was a nice place to be. Tommy played for SAM Massagno along with Pete Campbell from Butler and a 6 10 kid from Oregon that played at Texas. League was full of players. I got to see games at Basel and Monthey...and yes SBH they left tickets ...AND the coach insisted I ride the team bus. 60 miles down to Milan on the off day and the train ride past Lake Como was spectacular. I was not aware they had a lower league. Interesting. Met a few Indiana guys playing over there from Lipscomb and other mids.

Not sure what allen is talking about with regard to confidence or D2's. It is a bit surprising that JS would not be one of the solid PGs over there.

I saw an interview with Jaaron where he said that he didn’t understand the schemes at UM. I also saw one where when he went to Hawaii, they asked about his role and how he felt and he said basically that he did it to his self and we all saw him struggle and his struggle has continued. I don’t believe that you have to know someone personally to make a hypothetical statement about confidence. My statement is a hypothesis and OU country is upset about the Saul thing so-it spilled over to this thread. We as fans have opinions, just like when BVP’s numbers started to slide, some like me suggested he hit that freshman wall and others said that he was just one dimensional. I attribute Jaaron’s struggles to his confidence, because I have seen what he is capable of. I also attribute it to other people’s experiences of falling, it is hard to get back up. If he stayed at Ohio, he would have possibly been the MAC player of the year and would have been invited to Portsmouth and maybe he would have gotten a NBA camp invite. You go overseas with that resume, you probably get a better deal and you probably last a couple of seasons. D.J. was MVP of a league that had current NBA all’-stars in it. I don’t think that I have made an outlandish statement. Heck, I think that most of us deduce the same thing.

For some reason this quote reminded me of the speculation by one poster in the now legendary Simmons thread of yore that Beilein knew from the beginning that Simmons probably would ride the pine but encourage the transfer anyway just to screw OHIO as revenge for 2012. May be far-fetched, but somehow I think it's possible.

There are people who spend years wondering what would have happened if they had only pursued one avenue over another. Hats off to Jaaron for taking a chance, which didn't work out in the short-term as well as he imagined. Surprise, surprise that one of the top players on a Saul coached team did not turn out to have the talent to win a starting position at Michigan. He still made the team and had the experience of going on a deep run into the tournament. Not everyone can say that. Hopefully, this young man will now work on finding another passion that he can be successful at and go on to live a full and happy life.

I will go out on a limb, and say I'd guess you're wrong.
