Can you explain by comment of 6 left, two are not practicing...yet? First off, which six players left? Carter, Kirk, James, maybe Block and Taylor if you count seniors. Oh, did Cowart also leave?

Do we know who the two who are not yet practicing are?

Maybe he was trying to say 6 are left? That would match up with Ted's grid.

For Schaus:

How much effort has gone into asking the community for help in operations, as budgets get tighter and tighter? Is this even possible with liability and union employee issues at play? There are so many little, inexpensive fixes that could be done to Peden Stadium and the Convo that would help improve gameday experience, from a coat of paint to certain areas, to powerwashing concrete to simply sweeping up in corners of the stadium. Just little things that elevate the experience. And does he feel there are people who would be willing to volunteer to help with these things?

I've always wondered if we weren't under-utilizing a group of people who would like to take action rather than just complain about things. Then I've always wondered if there were reasons we didn't or if I'm overestimating the number of people who would like to help.
Schaus would tell you that he has no control over facilities maintenance, etc. I've been a strong advocate of painting areas of Peden and was told those decisions come from above.
Thanks. I figured there was something I was missing there.
Maybe not control, but I’m sure Schaus has input into facilities recommendations. If not that would be a pretty bad bureaucracy to not even listen to your athletic director.
Agreed. The things that were mentioned (or are always mentioned) aren't even budget busters or things that should require a vote at the Board of Directors. We're talking paint, more effective exterior lighting, power washing and some sweeping, and some better promotional banners inside and outside.
Schaus is correct. Facilities Management determines lights, painting and sweeping. Parking Services runs/owns the parking lots. OUPD does security - yellow jackets, bomb dogs, no cars under the convo during men's games and the reason we can't walk up to and around the outside/covered concourse level . And they will run their departments as they want - not interested in other ideas. It would take a presidential intervention to change that. Short of that Schaus's hands are tied. I retired from O.U. , been that way for many years.

You can see the entire Cincy Caravan presentation if you have Facebook. Search for Ohio Bobcat Club and you'll see talks by Schaus, Solich, and Boals.

Love how Solich, after finishing his talk to the Bobcat faithful, remained front and center for Boals' talk, giving him his undivided attention.

Coach said the Purdue game will be 12/17 which is a Tuesday and likely when students are gone. I wasn't expecting Purdue to agree to a Saturday, but a locals only game is kind of a buzzkill.

6 players left on the roster after the transfers and before additions. 4 going through workouts. In addition to Jordan being out, I would guess McMurray is the other. I also read into that comment that Kirk, Cowart, and James are good as gone.

Why can’t Boals comment on Price and Brown yet? He said that Dartis went through the workouts, but not 100%. I know mcmurray was injured, I wonder who else is injured. He said he will bring in a 6’10 and 6’11 guy next, there will be 4 guys coming in, in total.

I believe that it would take presidential intervention. What I'm curious about is what Jim has said to Nellis to get some relief in some of those areas adn why there isn't room for some sort of compromise. Because we all know there's no good reason for the quantity of yellow shirts, and the blockades all around the building.

Heck campus rec can't even get facilities to mow the golf course rough at a decent height.

I love that the OBC has brought in Ken, who is an alumnus of OUr university. I've long held that having at least a few folks who are alums of Ohio within the AD's office is a good thing.

Just one question for Coach Boals from the crowd that was there? Wow...he did get off easy...haha. I'm surprised there weren't more questions asked...that was a shy group.

big thing to him: student involvement

Jordan cleared two weeks ago. getting some court time. said he is a Shotmaker, not a shooter. big difference.

of new recruits could only speak about Roderick. regulations.
I love the part where Coach is reiterating "Shot Maker" with regard to Jordan. I sure hope he can get himself healthy to enjoy that Senior Year.

It was kind of like that when Saul was there too. I think the Cincy folks are more interested in Solich TBH.

Cincinnati in general is more football-centric than basketball.

I lived in Cincinnati for 10 years and will never understand how people thought either of those were the best. Camp Washington Chili and Blue Ash Chili are the real OGs.
