The Bobcat Caravan stops tonight in Dayton. Hope to see some BobcatAttack folks there.

I watched the video on the Bobcat Club's Facebook page. Not a lot of information that we didn't already know. Jordan Dartis is fully cleared by doctors, but the staff will ease him back into workouts, practices, etc for caution. Also said they are trying to align dates to play a road game against a top 10 team. My based on nothing guess would be Michigan, Michigan State, or Kentucky.

I'd love to know who the next cluster visiting are before the dead period.

Indeed, brother. And, what a long strange trip it's been.

I’d have to listen to it again. Boals mentioned a no-contact period coming up. I feel like it was in about a week.

In the caravan video, Boals specifically states May 16-24.

Yup. Lots of vacations, weddings and family things in the coaching world during this timeframe. Some with new jobs are probably moving family, too.

I’m assuming the link that popped up was a Caravan that’s taking place this evening. Two tidbits:

1). Appears we’re not “banking” last scholarship if we don’t have to. In 2 weeks we have a recruit coming in whose visiting 4 schools to make a decision: Virginia Tech, Missouri, PITT and OHIO. Nice company and WAY different than seeing the list of schools (if there were any DI offers) from the past.

2). Game @ Villanova

The way he phrased it in the video sounded like a buy game at Villanova. There's a possibility of playing the Wildcats twice this year.

Also hosting Tennessee Tech and opening thr season at Bonnie. First time in a very long time we open on the road.

I came here to bring that up. Gotta love the sound of that. I will say, in my mind, there's a difference between "banking" the scholarship for another year, versus making sure it gets used on a player the staff feels will be able to really contribute. So what I'm saying is, if they don't get this player, I wonder if they'll bank it at that point?

About 2 mins left.

If we get John to commit to us I will believe we instantly have to be considered a top 4 MAC team next year. I have only seen video on these guys but come on...even the Saulaholics have to see that what Boals has done so far is nothing short of amazing.

I like most have great enthusiasm for what Boals has done in a short time with recruiting. Just want to emphasize patience next year. We have 6 kids who have never played in a college basketball game, one who played very little and red-shirted due to injury, and one who red-shirted all year due to injury. As a Browns fan, I hate when I hear its a process, but next year will be a year long process of getting experience for all those kids. It might be real difficult early with a non-conference schedule that doesn't include a heavy dose of the MEAC and SWAC.

Won't hear me bitching about win/loss record in year one. What I'm hoping for is year one sets the stage for a big year two. Remember the Trent..Gus Johnson...Jason Terry...Jason Kent freshman class? Those guys were .500 that year and if Toledo's Sam Brown doesn't hit a shot at the buzzer in the MAC Quarters I believe Ohio would have had a great shot winning the tourney that year. Now that was truly an Ohio team nobody wanted to face in the MAC tourney. And of course..we know what happened the next year....MAC Championship and NCAA Tourney.
