Absolutely false. I expect dumb statements from most on this board, not you.

Trying to get in the MVC (Desperately) in a hotbed of prep talent. You can win at UMKC and win consistently. It's a sleeping (not giant, but something big). Seriously, it's a good job. Do some research.

I don’t know about prep talent, they definitely have access to the best JUCO’s and it is in a big city. They are in the WAC so they have to travel the farthest and they have not made it to the tournament yet.
The UMKC Kangaroos men's basketball team represents the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri. The school's team currently participates in the Western Athletic Conference. The team has never played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. Wikipedia.
KC is not a primary breeding ground for NBA basketball players.

Do they still play in one of the coolest and most historic basketball shrines?

Sounds like a "no".

I see Mizzou fans on Reddit saying the school has no presence in KC and that maybe they'd drop D1 basketball altogether. They spend thousands of dollars just travelling to their conference games across all sports and play in what I hear is a pretty lousy facility. A lot would change if they could get into the MVC, so maybe they are a sleeping whatever, but that's not a program with any upward momentum.

If you are sourcing Mizzou fans on Reddit, we have bigger problems.

Looks like Kansas and Illinois fans have a common outlook.

I read an article that said J T III was most likely going to end up in Nashville and attributed his experience coaching in a more academic place like Georgetown as the thing that set him apart from the other candidates including Tommy Amaker and the Yale coach. I stopped reading about that point.
He did also coach Princeton. The Vandy gig could end up with Dawkins or JT3... or maybe not. After the Bryce Drew disaster, I don't think they will go "young up&coming mid-major guy" again for a long time. The name "Musselman" seems to have disappeared from the Nashville media radar for some reason. The new A.D. at Vandy is actually a UNC and Harvard guy but seems really interested in Dukies. But since Wojo is sub-.500 all time in the Big East, I don't think he is drawing as much interest for that gig.

Former Princeton assistant and Cornell/Vandy/Pepperdine head coach Jan VanBredaKolff is still living near Nashville and not coaching anywhere. He would make a really good assistant coach to whoever gets the head coach gig. And no, the welding certificate thing at St Bonaventure was NOT his fault.
According to this (https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1114190370995343360 )

Jerry Stackhouse the new coach at Vandy. Wow.

According to several media outlets,Chris Mullen will soon be stepping down at St.Johns.

Mike Francessa went there,so,during the season he talks about them quite a bit,and gets a number of calls about the team.

A lot of people felt this was the "make or break" year for Mullen, given the talent on his roster.

People were calling for his head,as they collapsed down the stretch.

Getting into the tournament didn't do much, since they were one of the "first four"

Losing that game seems to have been the last straw.

Question is, who they go after ?

Right now they're talking about ASU's coach.
But some SJU fans want them to make a run at Pitino.

Have them contact Bobcat Love. I believe he has a texting relationship with Pitino and could help open that door! ;-)

A bunch of the names we'd identified for our opening are reportedly in the mix for the Northern Kentucky job, including Pat Kelsey, Ryan Pedon, Tom Ostrom, and perhaps most surprisingly, Dante Jackson:

Looks like 9 D-1 jobs still open out of 51 changes. 20 D-2 jobs yet to be filled.

Edit: now only 7 jobs open as of 2:25pm

So - the most exciting opportunity? Playing at Wofford - Or OHIO and w/Boals in the Mac?

Wofford was involved in some epic GIF's on GIF Wars 2019

If that's his reasoning, I applaud it. Otherwise, meh

Is this just a random comment? The subject Alex, was D1 Coaching Changes. That was an update. As an aside I think one of the Columbus guys on our recruiting board was a recent Wofford commit. May be wrong.

It’s down to 1 opening left-Howard. The coaching carousel is just about over for the year.

If there is any proof of this, how is the Arizona job not currently open?

I was in the camp that felt it would be difficult for Saul to get a D-One Head Coaching job this year. Hope he can land an assistant job somewhere or he's going to have to look at D2.

This is unfathomable that he still has a job.
