the cavaliers lost their playoff round in a bad way. they lost 3 games on their own floor. two of those they should never have lost. in particular that last game. how onearth can ya go from being up 12 to losing in the second half on your own floor?

Can Indiana get some credit in this?

They held Strus scoreless while his counterpart Nesmith had a 13/13 dbl/dbl.

They held the Cavs 8th leading scorer to 0. Roll out the red carpet.

Having Garland, Mobley, and Hunter missing games and Mitchell hobling will derail your season fast. They'll be back.

This narrative that Haliburton is overrated that began with Wally World still permeates and needs to die off already.

I'm not a Pacers fan, I was pulling for the Cavs but Indiana did take 3 of 4 in the regular season series. Strus had 20 points; 7 boards; 7 assists in the one playoff game Cleve did win. Holding him to zero points and two assists in the elimination game was not chopped liver. They also held Garland to 11 points in 33 minutes in the final game.

Can anyone verify that Haliburton considered playing his college ball at Ohio University? Or was that just internet wishful thinking? Or was that just wishful thinking on my part?

247 lists Ohio and Toledo as two of the many schools who offered and over 50% of the offers were from mid-majors.

It only indicated Iowa State and Minnesota as his strong interests.

Before the summer of his junior year he had two schools in mind, us and Northern Iowa, with UNI holding a slight edge. Coming out of Wisconsin, there was hopeful thinking that the BVP connection to Wisconsin would provide an extra jolt for recruiting. Bobcat Love mentioned something about when we brought him in for a visit, the game he attended was one of the early season November games (maybe even an exhibition but I can't confirm that) and it was very poorly attended. Basically, not the game you want to bring in a recruit for. I might be confusing that with Desmond Bane, but I've got a foggy memory.

It ended up not mattering anyway. He absolutely blew up that summer of his junior year and the major conference offers came rolling in. Ohio didn't stand a chance.
