Since AJB signed with Florida, the Gators have signed Boogie Fland and Xavian Lee out of the portal and this doesn’t count the rest they already have on the roster.
Minutes are going to be tough to come by in Gainesville.
Seeing a lot of fan accounts having him come off the bench as 6th man. He probably knew that was a possibility. Get some minutes, get paid, get a chance at a deep March run. I can't fault the move, especially after this past season.
I hate to say it, but maybe that's the best role for him. Don't get me wrong, I loved him on the floor in Athens and we will miss him, but let's not kid ourselves...he's fragile. Playing reduced minutes as a bench guy might give him a better chance of maintaining availability during the season.
