Awww...isn't that cute.

Kum ba yah, my Lord, kum ba yah! Kum ba yah, my Lord, kum ba yah! Kum ba yah, my Lord, kum ba yah! O Lord, kum ba yah!
Man if that brings this type of reaction, I can't even imagine what you do when someone drops a bible verse on you.
Actually, I was using scripture on a so-called "christian" just the other day who loves and adores elon musk.

Matthew 19:24 - "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God" but they couldn't explain why under the tenets of their own religion they supposedly believe in, they worship a man who per that religion is 110% headed straight for hell.

Hmmmm.....No wonder a steeple looks like a giant dunce cap.
Well, you conveniently forgot the next verse, Matthew 19:26: "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Rabbi Jesus' points were often somewhat subtle and require close reading and study to fully understand. Taking one verse out of context often leads to incorrect interpretation of the concept being taught.

And, your statement about steeples is downright intolerant.
Musk has been openly backing neo-Nazi parties around the world. Under the category of "all things possible" his future of burning in eternal hellfire would be in a category of more than possible or even probable. More like "certain" under the concepts of judeo-xtian-isms.

I've never heard anybody dispute that steeples look just like giant dunce caps. Just people clutching at their pearls over the (accurate undeniable) observation.

As a basketball pundit, I think you have some important things to say. As a theologian you are not very good. And, let me remind you that "In God all things are posisble" is the official motto of the State of Ohio.

And I thought this was going to be a "Nathan Rourke" like thread that would last through 2026. Oddly enough, we are not MAC Champs with him a QB last season.

Anyway, don't ruin my opinion of you buy continuing down this political BS on a sports thread. Isn't that for General Discussion?

As a Bobcat, I'd take Coop over Sears running the point for a Bobcat team while all of you likely suffer from recency bias.

For the record, Andrew and I were just responding to unnecessary religious statements showing intense religious bigotry.

There’s a great April 1 article that Sears has been granted an 8 th year of eligibility and will play for Auburn next year. It’s pretty funny

Ha, I enjoyed that! Not "JSF rickrolling BA into believing Groce would become Saul's assistant" good, but still:

All good,OCF. I consider almost anyone on BA a fellow Bobcat brother. I just avoid the age old advice of not discussing politics and/or religion with anyone but immediate family. Even that can ruin any holiday get together especially in this cuckoo world we are witnessing. I come here to get away from the stupidity.

I couldn't resist the jab at greencat when he got repulsed by my sincere response, did not think it would lead to Siberia but I should have known better.

Eye opening shooting day at the Combine:

Mark Sears, PG, Alabama: Sears entered the week ranked No. 78 in ESPN's NBA draft rankings, but his elite shooting ability could intrigue teams late in the second round. He was clearly the best shooter during Tuesday's sessions, finishing first in three of the four drills.

Sears put on an exhibition, going 26-for-30 on off-dribble midrange pull-ups, 21-for-25 on spot-up 3s and 25-for-27 in the side-mid-side 3-point drill. His athletic testing wasn't great, but his shooting ability stood out.

Another analysis:

"Alabama guard Mark Sears was the smallest player at the combine (5-10 3/4 in socks) and didn’t exactly blow everyone away with his 3.28 full-court sprint. But in the scrimmages, he showed why he still might cut it as backup point guard; he’s just a superbly crafty pick-and-roll operator who finished the week with 31 points and 11 assists across two scrimmages. Sears was also the big winner in the shooting drills, making a preposterous 86 of his 107 shots."

Great for him, but put the more athletic 6’4” guard in front of him. Best wishes to him, but it’s an uphill climb.

No, because Preston didn't shoot from outside like the other two.

I read Sears was granted another year in college, and transferred to Auburn.
Any verification is appreciated!
