Some of the football posters are about to go off the rails.

I'd vote if there were a 3rd option - c) both in the same year! ;)

I mean, this is not a surprise. Siting on the fence per usual instead taking an actual position, even for a meaningless message board poll.

Based on your rosy response, I have to ask did you skip lunch again today? Do you need a Snickers? Or maybe a hug?

Everyday. Funny comment though considering that you get enraged and melt down about my posts.

Ha. More like calmly defend myself and my position, but whatever. I know how much you get off on the myth that you actually get under my skin so I don't want to disrupt that for you.

There are 12 schools in the MAC and most coaches are not at a school for 12 years. So, I think the most likely result is neither wins one while their here. I don't think that is the case by the huge margin, but if we are being realistic that has to have the best odds. I mean, for all the talent Groce had in his short time here, he failed, but I did not take long before he got a few million dollars a year at Illinois in spite of that. I think in both cases with them at the helm we will have a better than 1 in 12 chance most years. But seriously, I you had a paid Vegas oddsmaker put odds on:
Solich first
Boals first
Same year
Neither ever
Neither would have the best odds and Same the worst. Unless you have an elite program in the conference to begin with this is going to be the case no matter who the coaches are.

He won two MAC Tournament Championships. I would consider those MAC Championships. I would much rather win the MAC Tournament Championship than a regular season championship.

The above poster is correct. Even though JG didn't do that well in the regular season, his team got hot in March to win the league tournament. A team can struggle in the regular season in basketball and end up the worst team in the league record wise, but still win the MAC tournament. The MAC football regular season is much more important than the regular season in basketball. No MAC football team that ends up as a nine seed is invited to the championship game.

If Boals gets two chances a year rather than just one then that skews the odds in his favor significantly.

Solich, because football season is before basketball season!
