Looks like everyone's there. One of the corners is clearly Springs vs Foster vs Ogbanda. Appeared that Dartis and McMurray did not participate, maybe to not force things following surgeries.

Based on the video and the pictures yesterday, Murrell looks clearly taller than Vander Plas. Remember, he was a high school point guard and then had a late growth spurt.

I'd like to know what the masses think of this roster for 19-20? I believe we are much better all around. A possible lineup that includes Dartis, BVP and Preston (all MAC Frosh First Teamers at some point) and Roderick, Ogbanda, McDay, Brown and Price is already deeper and more athletic. Anything else is gravy.

I tend to agree, but we’ll see how the talent meshes and work out their roles. The potential is there to be pretty good, but we’re talking about a bunch of talented 18 and 19 year olds so you never know. It may take a while this season anyway.

I also love the way Boals is posting the players together at the movies and doing community service. I love the videos from practice and the pics of the recent graduates (high school). It is something that (calm down Saulpologists) Saul just never did well. In this day and age social media and news is HUGE and Boals is doing an excellent job of posting things to keep fans involved. Saul never embraced that part of it and I think it contributed to his lack of recruiting and attendance etc.

I have sort of a nervous excitement to see how this group looks this year. I see the potential and the talent on the roster, but at the same time have to check that excitement a bit because of youth and the unknowns about how the group will mesh. My expectation is we will see a wide range of performance. I expect to see some dud performances and I think we'll see some games that show what the high-end ceiling can be for the group. My hope right now is we can string together some of those high-end performances come March.

Either way, I'm excited to see this team.

We are going to be hugely inconsistent. There will be games or parts of games where we will click and a number of folks on here will declare we are the team no one wants to play come March. Then there will be long stretches where we will look like an average high school team. To me this year is just a sugar rush to the future.

Either way it will be way more exciting than the last couple years.

What about Murrell, Spring, Foster, and McMurray? Or are they the gravy?

Since 3 of the 4 are coming off of redshirts and were not highly recruited I'd put them (and Brown) in the gravy boat for now.

I agree, but if they play tough and hard, don’t back down and carry themselves with class, it will be a good season

I was expecting unwatchable basketball. This will be so much better than that.

What's the latest on how Dartis is recovering? That could be a big factor, obviously, in how much success this young team will have.

I honestly have no idea, but I am excited to watch it unfold. Although Jason Carter did not come back from injury quite as amazing as we had hoped, he was still damn good and it's a big void to fill. On the flip side, I sincerely believe that TK in the spot he was placed in was a net negative impact on the team and his weak assist/turnover/outside shot situation being removed will help.
