Well not quite. The NBA still has longer distance.

I know last year the NIT games at The Garden used quarters.

Don't know about this year.

Everyone really liked 4 quarters, instead of 2 halves.

What my wife and I really liked was that team fouls were per quarter.
That meant a lot less trips to the line.

Maybe next year.

I may be in the minority, but I am not in favor of any rules change in general that makes the college game more like the NBA game. The shot clock reset rule I like. I'm not a fan of a deeper 3pt line.

Another rule change is coaches can call time outs in the last 2 minutes of the second half and the last 2 minutes of overtime periods, which I don’t think was a good idea. I do like the new 3 point line and shot clock rules though.

I don't think the deeper 3-pt line is that big of a deal. It actually might open things up a little underneath with a little more spacing. Kids won't have a huge problem adapting to the distance. From watching my son's games they are already taking them from that distance and beyond with regularity.

Taking them, but are they making them?
