More injuries than a Crossfit gym. When will this run of hurt basketball players end?

Cut the boo hooing about the injuries.

NY Yankees had a record 30 players go on the major league DL in 2019 and still ran away with their division.

The Bobcats aren't expected to do much this season if all are healthy.

You play with what you have and that's it. Trial by fire will make the tough even tougher.

Perhaps a silver lining is others get to step up and may improve and give the coach confidence in their abilities. A few might be Bobcats for a 5th year.

Luckily we have the highest payroll in the league and can always call up guys from the minors/Ping Center.

We’ve done that in the past. FVe it the roster was weak, the depth is thin, this year will be what it is, however early returns is good reciting and we’ve already seen more growth in some players over. Summer than we did in years on campus in the past.

Came across this looking to see how Jason Carter is doing with X... and the article was interesting in the detail it gave on their injured players... including Carter. (back injury) Obviously every program is different, just hate being publicly in the dark- but it is what it is...

Yep...every program is different when it comes to injuries and releasing info...I get that. The shock of finding this out about the four guys hurt at this late stage of pre-season is really stunning when you think about it. One week ago today, nobody outside the program really knew anything about this. Like I said, just a complete bummer that it really does appear all of these guys will miss all of November. Of course, this is speculation on my part because we don't know anything!

Some better news to report. The Post's game preview says that Roderick participated in yesterday's practice and Price is cleared to play. Doubtful that we will see either tonight.

Nothing personal, as everybody uses it today, but I hate the expression, "it is what it is." It's a tautology, like saying "all green cars are green." Now, if for some reason it would be appropriate to say, "it is what it ain't," that would be unique and not trite.

The team twitter also took a shot of shootaround and you can see Miles Brown in practice dress on the floor. Maybe we're not that far off.

Nice to see... regardless I am like everyone else on here- just pumped to get it going and see them in action... plus no watching the "Live" scoring that's probably still not caught up for Saturdays game...

Connor Murrell just posted on his instagram that him and Marvin Price won’t be playing in this game. I don’t think they even made the trip. I would be surprised if Ben Roderick and Miles Brown don’t play since they made the trip.

Guys starting to come back is the best basketball news since Jeff was announced imho. Seems like maybe all are close.

Something that always concerns me in these situations however is players coming back too soon when another week or two would allow them to be completely well. Have to trust the medical staff and the input from players though I guess. I'm sure it's tempting for the freshmen especially to get things rolling.

The article say Akron beat them in a secret scrimmage. Xavier has a freshman that will split time with Carter. We should all chip in on a care package.

Not that it means much but I saw this and it reads like Roderick should be healthy to play https://statsalt.com/games/ncaab/11-5-2019/ohio-u-vs-st-b... /

While it would be fun seeing them against good OOC teams I'd much rather everyone be as close to 100% for the MAC

According to Jeff Thitoff of the Dispatch, "Boals said Price had minor knee surgery in August and will begin practicing soon. Roderick suffered a sprained knee and will miss a few weeks."

The question is when did Boals tell Thitoff this?
