Reality hit a bit for this team vs Villanova, Baylor and Utah. The size and athletic ability and superior shooting from downtown really a tough task.

With Detroit, Rio Grande, Tenn. Tech and Morehead upcoming, the Bobcats should string together some wins.

Fran has essentially been an unpaid infomercial for OHIO and Athens these last two games. Has gotten a bit repetitive but has made no secret of his regard for his time in Athens and his respect for OU. Certainly seems to believe Boals was the right hire and that great things are in store for the future of the program.
That should help us in recruiting because he said how nice the campus is and supported Jeff on national TV.

Great point, there may not have been a ton of viewers on Friday night, watching an ESPN News broadcast of a game with a smattering of people in the stands in Conway/Myrtle Beach. However, there were recruits, prospective recruits and their parents watching, and they saw a young, hungry team at work. All in all, a great couple of days for Coach Boals and his staff with regards to positive national TV exposure and publicity.

Size and length destroyed Ohio. Also never saw a team go 29-30 from the the foul line in one game. If we are going to really, really surprise this year....Jordan Dartis needs to shake off the rust and be in form come MAC season. If he's not hitting shots, it's going to be difficult to win consistently in Boals first year. Boals also still seems to have some confidence in McMurray with giving him consistent minutes. Mason looks tentative and unsure on the court. Boals yanked him in first half for not being in right position on an offensive set. He's getting more of a run than Springs right now and I'm not sure what he's done to earn those minutes.

I'm so happy to see Jordan back on the basketball floor to finish out his career at OU, but this right here.

Are we sure he's even healthy? Or - ever GOING to be back to "healthy" like he was pre hip surgeries? You have to think that has an effect on his quickness, his lift on his shot, his balance - everything.

It's just very un-Jordan like to currently be 19-65 (29%) from the floor and 13-45 (29%) from 3. I just don't know if it's a shooting funk he will eventually come out of, or if this is post-surgery Jordan and what you see is all he's got left.

If it's the former then keep shooting kid, and he'll come around. If it's the latter, then even though he's a senior leader on a very young team - you can't have a 29% shooter taking the volume of shots he currently is.

A spouse of a coach in the Newark basketball program told me that Jordie's height decreased by an inch or two after his 2 hip surgeries. Is this even possible? His lateral movement appears to have diminished post surgery as well. I still expect his shot to come around with more game time.

Hopefully OUr players spent a few minutes after the game with Ute players and asked them their secrets on how to knock down free throws like that. How do they practice, what is their focus at the line?

watched Morehead v Butler on Friday. Morehead held their own against a surprisingly good Butler team for a long time. Some is the operative word in your sentence.
