We could lose by 50 to Purdue. We might win only win four MAC games. I don't know. But what is undeniable right now now is the energy and optimism moving forward that Boals has brought to this program. In the past week, two national articles (one by ESPN today) mentioning college basketball overachievers at this stage of the season, where they discuss how surprising Ohio has been. We've received more national publicity ten games into the Boals era than we did the previous five years. I know it's early...very early into the Boals era...but it's refreshing to read these articles.

I agree and love the direction things are going, but it's worth pointing out that last year's dumpster fire started with a 9-4 record heading into MAC play. Yes, it looked very different getting there, and things are palpably different and better on this year's team. I am just not quite ready to plan for any games in Cleveland. An improvement in MAC play, which is a pathetically low bar given the 6-12 mark involved, is my true benchmark for a successful year.

Where's the link to the green & white t-shirt you're selling that says "I have a man crush on Jeff Boals"?

:-)

I hope I don't come to regret this but from my seat on the aisle 6 rows behind the bench, it's much easier to take seriously what this crew is doing with this team that at any time since Groce left - structure, discipline and a clear plan plus these guys dress really nice.

Despite my good natured poking fun at FearLeon, I whole-heartedly agree with you, and him, at this point. I very much like how they play, even when undermanned in certain cases. Every player is contributing when called upon. The difference is noticeable, without a doubt.
