A decent barometer to start MAC play. I'm confident Western will finish in the bottom third of this league. Despite the winning record, not one of their performances stands out to me. They've barely squeaked by inferior competition. I watched their 3ot game against 5-9 Milwaukee and they needed lucky bounces several times to survive. They were completely outclassed by MSU without Cassius Winston.

But who knows? Michael Flowers is a great scoring option and Kalamazoo is often a black hole for us.

If this program has truly turned a corner, this is a win that should happen.

I actually kinda like that Ohio is playing on the road for the conference opener. Should give us a pretty good indication as to how far we came in Nov-Dec and where things could be headed.

Unless we're healthier than we've been in weeks, I don't like the chances against even a below avg to bad wmu team on the road. Esp Considering last two performances. Much better bobcat teams have gotten their tails kicked in kzoo.

If we have Jordy we easily beat Campbell. As for Morehead State, they are always tough even though their record does not indicate that. And we were missing Foster for that game. A team of BVP, Dartis, Preston, McDay and Ogbonda as starters with Brown, Foster, Springs and McMurray on bench (I am assuming no Murrell or Roderick rest of year) is still a .500 MAC team. If we lose one of either Preston, BVP or Dartis I believe we are SOL.

As one previous coach would say "That's life on the road" whenever we would loose a road game.
After road wins @ Iona & St. Bonaventure earlier this year I am hopeful that this coach is able to work his magic to change the mind set of our players that road game losses are a given.

I wondered if that’s the case myself. Also heard that Arkley has tweeted at some point that Price is on a leave of absence and apparently Thornton said he’s in the portal. I don’t really think those two things are compatible.

Sounds like the saga is not over yet. Hopefully it’s cleared up once and for all soon.

This game is impossible to watch. Refs have made it a snails pace. Rather obnoxious with the lengthy breaks in action.
