This is on the super thread, but I thought it also deserved a thread of it's own. Congratulations Lady Cats on your 74-68 victory over Ohio State!

Big win come Selection Sunday. Here is hoping that they take it out of the committee's hands this year.

One of the things that limited last years team is that the starting 5 played nearly all of the minutes. It seems so far that Kroll and then Beck are backups he has the most confidence in followed by probably Bazelak and Guice. Kroll, Bazelak and Guice were not last year. But it is really interesting to me that in the games against Syracuse and today vs. Ohio St., even with starters in foul trouble, only Kroll and Beck came off of the bench. Even at that for Beck it was only 8 and 10 minutes in those two games with Kroll playing almost as much as the starters.

The best part was listening to the WBNS post-game radio show, where the company line was that OSU gave a game away that they should have won. Screw that. The Buckeyes didn't give the game away - the Bobcats took it from them by outmuscling their very tall but contact-shy front line, by raining threes in the third quarter, and by blowing by their defenders when they came out to contest the three.

OSU does have a very nice arena, however.

They could just rename and clean out the Ozone board, since that particular group doesn't appear to exist anymore.

Agreed....not complaining at all. But when I come to this board, I just want to read about Ohio men's basketball. Doesn't seem like it would be an issue to rename the OZONE board Ohio Women's basketball. Let's do it...the women's team deserves it.

I took my daughter and got front row seats. It was awesome. As Joe said, OSU did not "give the game away." Ohio is just a better team, plain and simple. OSU was a lot bigger across the board but just were not as good of basketball players.

It got really terrifying towards the end when a 12 point lead melted away as quickly as I'd ever seen. It was fueled by us struggling with the press, which really surprised/disappointed me considering we have 3 great ball handlers in Hooks/Burke/Johnson. If not for the issues with breaking the press and some other inbound issues throughout the game, it would have been a blowout. Yes OSU struggled from 3 but they did not get many good looks, defense was great.

Cece was in foul trouble the whole game but still managed 3-4 of her awesome signature drives to the hoop. Kroll stepped up big time to help plug that hole with Cece had to sit. We pulled away when Erica got lights out from 3.

Coach Boldon was right in front of me and was fun to watch him operate. He is so calm and in control, a true gem to have. If I was casting a movie for a coaching villian, I would refuse to cast anyone other than OSU's head coach. His face, the way he chews his gum and how he shouts...I felt like I was watching a movie.

The PA lady was also right in front of me. She referred to us as OU, Ohio U, Ohio University, the Bobcats and everything else other than Ohio. I spoke with an Ohio employee who was at the scorers table and told him he should tell her to call us Ohio. He said he already had, twice, and its the first thing in the media guide. The 2nd half she switched to just Bobcats and I still don't think she ever called us Ohio once.

An awesome game and can't wait to see how they do in the Daytona tourney.
