The 110 tonight, after winning team-losing team, dropped this beauty (Marshall’s Coach is bald):

“Is that not a head of hair? Yes that is a head of hair!” (Pointing at Boldon)

“Is that not a bald man? Yes that is a bald man!”

At that point they were told to stop.

Yes I saw that. And was VERY disappointed that it was stopped. That why we don't have an "O_Zone" anymore. In the 1990's the O-Zone made the Convo a "pit" to play in. They would find a reason to "ride" a player/coach all game long. Just review Charlie Cole's interview " Then there's that OOOOO - Zone ". And their were a few incidents of visiting team players fouling out, that were the target, heading toward that side line and coaches taking exception to being the "target" of the student section. They were "caught" by their team- no harm/no foul. Then , for some reason, spots admin. / OUPD started to crack down. In the 2000's saw students told " tone it down" and escorted out. Then it was made a "club" / a cheer squad. Attendance dropped and dropped over the years. As they were scripted by the AD dept. To the point the " OU --- O yea " was started by the "Old Zone" , on the other side of the court. Took a couple of years to get the Admin. to allow the O-Zone to help.

Sure hope our current AD restarts the O-Zone and lets them "ride" the visting team. Just keep it clean - there are kids in the convo for the game.

That would be a violation of the student code of conduct.

Same thing happened in the early '80s and the Crazy Cats (the O-zone of then). We were pretty large, vocal and rowdy. To the point that before one game Greg Ianni who at the time was a fairly junior member of the AD Department, came to me (I was the club president) and told me if we didn't settle it down he would have me and others thrown out. We dialed it back. two games later Nee stops me before the game and tells me we need to get after it - had been dead the last two games. I told him about my warning from Ianni. He said not to worry, I saw him go and tell Ianni something - gave me a thumbs up and off we went. Point being a strong voice (in my case the coach) can make things happen. If you want a home court advantage you can't over babysit the crowd. - just my opinion.

That was straight savage, and yes, the chains on the O-Zone need to be unleashed. If Boals has them this dialed in early, it's gonna get fun around the Convo.....

Maybe we go to different games? Been in the same season ticket seats for 35ish years. Missed maybe an average of 1 game a year. And what cc-cat post was a correct version of the 1980's
