We played far better than I thought we would against Capital given our lack of depth at the moment. My gut tells me we are not going to be in a position to consistently win against D1 competition until two of the injured four return to the rotation, and one of them has to be Miles Brown. Arkley's mid-game tweets about Dartis running the point were not encouraging.

Besides Marshall, we have played Bonaventure more than any other OOC team in the last 15 years. I hope that continues - they're a program that is always on solid footing in the A-10.

Hopefully the other guys who weren't expected to contribute much grow up in a hurry at the start of the season with all of the injuries.

Must have woke up on the right side of the bed. I was expecting a line of +40 at least

I am often told I am too optimistic. Ok, let's go with optimism...Preston goes for 25 and 7 assists, BVP hits for 18 and 10 boards, Ogbanda hits up 10 points and 10 boards, Dartis 18 points on 6 of 6 shooting from the arc, McDay 15 points, 7 boards, 3 steals and 6 assists in his debut, Springs puts up 25 minutes with 6 points, 4 blocks and 6 boards and McMurray scores 5 points with 8 boards. Toss in a 7 point, 8 board night from Foster and 22 points, 5 assists and 8 steals from Michael Brown and we win 85-47.

Boy a win tonight would really set a tone for the season of "maybe we can skip that growing pains stuff and compete." If we compete and fall short, nothing hurt. The only thing we don't want is to get blown out and overwhelmed...injuries or not.

So many new and moving pieces - I don't see how anyone can possibly predict how this team will perform tonight.

Bonnies are always tough at home, so I don't really expect a win. I just want to see a disciplined team that hustles, plays tough defense and rebounds (because those are effort/mindset things that you can control and travel well regardless of who or where you're playing and if the shots are falling or not).

I'm excited for the new chapter even if it means some bumps and growing pains along the way.

I am not going to be concerned if we get blown out. Have to be realistic with what we are facing without Roderick, Price, Murrell and Brown. Not making excuses, but it's reality.

Just want to see the guys go out and compete/play hard. It's Game 1 in Year 1. Can't really have much expectations here. Hopefully we see some stuff tonight that they can work on throughout the year.

I'm interested in seeing how Jason Preston responds to his leadership role. I think if he plays with confidence we'll be fun to watch and greatly improved shooting.

Nice start on road in first 4 minutes. Big man with a nice 3 and a nice block. Vanderplas looks huge compared to last year.

There are bound to be ups and downs this season, but that first half was off the charts in terms of exceeding my expectations.

At this rate the Bonnie’s May break the record for offensive rebounds. However our defense ain’t half bad.
