You are not kidding. What is his health condition? Was it ever fully explained in this article because I read it twice and I still can’t make sense of it. Unless I am completely blind.

I (naively) thought the first couple paragraphs were an interesting approach to starting an article...

Stopped reading about halfway through when I realized the mystery health condition wouldn't be explained further.

1st it’s called HIPA, the writer has no right to know. But if you take the clues from the article it’s either a heart rhythm or sickle cell

Technically it is HIPAA https://www.cdc.gov/phlp/publications/topic/hipaa.html but if people can loose a ballgame they can use HIPPA or HIPA as well. They're / their / there entitled. Doesn't really matter N E more.
