OT but what the heck. Tonight I watched the BG at Buffalo game. The best darned game I've seen this season. BG trailed by 14 or so in the 1st half. Then BG scored the first 13 pts of the 2nd half to take the lead. From then on it was a classic seesaw match. With 5 seconds to go and BG up 79-78, Buffalo inbounded. One of its players went up for a jump shot; BG blocked it.

Two great games involving the MAC's four best teams, in front of sellout (or near sellout) crowds on national television.

The worst part of either game came late in the Akron-Kent game during a timeout. Akron was setting up a last-second play down a point and CBSSN analyst Steve Wolf said Akron, being the road team, should go for the win, not the tie. . . down a point. I started wondering whether coach Groce was contemplating drawing up a one-point play to send the game into overtime.

Should they kick the extra point or go for two?

My thought exactly. BG has a damn nice team this year, but mark my words, they'll get knocked off in Cleveland. BG is the only MAC school to never win the tournament and this year will be no different. Ohio football will end its 1968 drought before BG basketball does.

If Ohio can't win it, I hope BG does win it. I'm debating on going up there even if Ohio isn't in it (increasingly likely).

Central puts 92 on the Falcons

Eastern beats Buffalo and Balls takes down Kent in Kent.

Should be some victory’s to be had now that the Bobcats have gained some experience this first part of the MACs schedule.

Go Bobcats beat Miami,
