Marketing is doing a big push to get students out to this one (giveaways, food, etc.), which if history is any indication when more non-diehards are in the building, we will get pantsed at home.

I don't think we've beaten Toledo in Athens since that OT classic in 2014.

Toledo shoots and makes a lot of 3-pointers. They have five guys who make on average one a game or more and all shoot over 35%. Marreon Jackson is their leading scorer but Luke Knapke is their most efficient scorer.

They were 15 of 26 on 3-pointers in their win at Akron.

If you enjoy watching a player go after rebounds with passion and determination, watch UT's Willie Jackson, best rebounder in the MAC and quite possibly the best rebounder, inch-for-inch, in the nation.

i think they have a shot versus Toledo. They just seem to be all out of whack offensively.

They really seem to lack chemistry on offense, and for some reason unless the thing the that is working is the dartis 3 ball we refuse to just keep going to something that is working until someone stops it.

Dartis is a threat from 3 and that is about it right now.
Preston is all over the place i don't know what to make of him offensively. It sometimes seems to me when he should be looking for his shot he passes. when he should be getting others involved he seems to be shooting. Obviously he is doing a lot right it just seems to have no flow.
The big guy really for the most part is just a clean up guy.
Vanderplas has been a big scorer and thankfully so. But then sometimes we just go away from him.
Then you have Mcday which i think is a really interesting option. you can tell he is used to being on a team with great ball movement. a lot of people think he disappears on offense i think it is maybe the offense forgets about him.

He can shoot the outside shot just enough to be dangerous. But if you look every time he touches the ball and he gives it up he usually makes a great cut toward the basket that if we were looking for it. he could eat a lot of teams a live but we only throw it to him on the cut once or twice a game.

I think roderick and brown are going to be great basketball players. but right now i dont think either one of them our in game shape and they have no confidence in there game and have problems getting in to offensive flow. That might not improve this season unless you just put them in and say your playing 25 minutes a night play through it.

I guess that depends our you willing to go with 3 or 4 bad games in a row to get them there even though both look like they need another off season in the weight room.

Was wondering what the line would be. Toledo's ahead of us in all the rankings, but haven't really beat anyone good except this most recent win over Akron. They did take ND to OT earlier in the year. Meanwhile, our lone "good" win was in the 1st game of the season against the Bonnies.

Say Hi to Walt on the Blue and Yellow bench. If they follow his lead they will be tough to beat. Watched him on the bench a couple times so far this year.

Anyone else having audio issues? Watching on my iPad, and the sound cuts out for a second every few minutes, and even when it is working, it sounds...not great

Yes. This sound cutting out is highly annoying! I had similar issues watching the Bowling Green game a couple of weeks ago.

I know BVP is in foul trouble, but watching McMurray get the run of minutes here in first half is brutal. Just not D-1 level talent.

A little basketball riddle: When is a good look from your pt guard not a good look?

When you know the chances of the recipient of the pass converting it into a bucket, even though he's receives the pass near the basket, are extremely low.

You criticize McMurray? At least I saw hustle defensively. How about all the D 1 talent who can’t score around the basket. Off balance shots! Missed bunny after bunny. Big guy who is big enough he should be able to slam it, but is soft. Shots that look like a jr. high kid being thrown up inside. Drives me crazy. We should be ahead!

I agree. The main difference in this game is D1 talent. Toledo has more. We literally have BVP, Dartis, Preston and McDay. Rest is suspect.

I hope Granger and White are ready. Not sure if Rod and Brown are. Need 2 grad guys or JUCO and a grad guy to pair with BVP, Preston and McDay next year.

This is tough to watch. Lots of dribbling and no ball movement usually leads to bad shots and turnovers. Every offensive possession feels so forced. Trust the process I suppose.

Toledo in the last decade always plays with enough confidence to really attack the first offensive option early in the shot clock. They take what they want and we look like we are searching and forcing. Looking forward to the day we play with that same confidence. We'll get there, but this is a Saul hangover game.

You did not allow me to finish until the game is over. Obviously, tough to win games when you have a center who can’t score within 3 feet. We haven’t had any consistency in that department since Antonio Campbell left. Boals will have to figure it out and find a center who can score layups in the paint. And sorry, it’s painful to watch McMurray. He’s not D-one caliber.

Robin Williams once described Dan Quale as one taco short of a combo platter. We’re about four tacos down in this one. We need more playmakers and much much better defense. Maybe things will turn around this weekend.

The question moving forward is how many more wins are left on the schedule?

I have no idea what McMurray gives us that Springs can't.

It also amazes me how Springs gets no play while McMurray is in rotation.

Getting nothing this year out of McMurray, Springs and Murrell is a killer.

I’m not ready to put this all on one player. Overall there were too many wasted possessions, tonight. I am getting used to the idea that it is going to take more time to re-build than I thought after wins at St Bonnie and Iona.
