"Without belaboring the scheduling conversation again too much, I just would love to see games against other mid-majors on the schedule on a 1-for-1 basis that would be possible to travel to on the away leg of the agreement. Places like: Marshall (as mentioned), Duquesne, Cleveland State, Wright State, NKU, IPFW, (gulp) Robert Morris, EKU, WKU, Oakland, James Madison, Valpo, Charlotte, ODU, William & Mary....I can go on and on. The point is, at the very least, those schools, on a Saturday, are drive-able for a long weekend, and they are a D1 opponent that might garner fan interest.
There is zero allure to watching a regular season game against Heidleburg or Rio Grande for me. For me, if they're going to play those games at home, they might as well play a buy game on the road instead.
This is an area I'm hopeful we'll see some change in with Boals and Cromer leading the way."
You nailed it OU_Country. Couldn't agree more! Rio, Wilbenforce, Heidelberg and some of these other games need to go. Play Dayton or Xavier on the road for a money game. Bobcat fans will travel.
