Cut the player or fire the coach. Good god.
Nice to see that Saul has made a Bobcat Attack burner account.

University of North Alabama who just went D-1 in basketball last year beat Morehead State by ten after leading by 16. This needs to be a win.
Our players don't seem to have much pride. Leaving guys wide open for 3 all night. No intensity. No energy. This would be a humiliating loss. Lots of these kids should look in the mirror at half time and ask themselves if they care enough to deserve a free education.
My guess is someone took Ohio -12 and is a little bitter.

You should probably go back where you came from.

UNA was probably flat vs Alabama A&M. They just lost a close one at UAB that would have been their first signature win as a D-1 program. But they did lose to A&M after beating Morehead quite handily.

Today's game was not on ESPN+ for whatever reason, so I didn't get to see it but Boals' comments after the game sound pretty disappointed. Maybe the Bobcats can whip Campbell who is not very good.

With everyone healthy I imagine the starters the same
PG: Preston
SG: Dartis
3: McDay
4: BVP
5: Ogbonda

6th man for Dartis or McDay: Roderick
7th man: Foster for Ogbonda
8th man: McMurray for BVP, Ogbonda or Foster
9th: Miles Brown for Preston
10th: Murrell for 3 or 4
11th: Springs

That would leave Price out for now if he's not ready. In that case I would wonder why he's burning useless minutes in games to burn his redshirt?
Yep, these are our players' names.
How apathetic does one's life have to be to take the time to troll someone who actually shares what I can only imagine is the same love for the same school? You think that because you've been on this board for a while and have a ton of posts that this is cool? It isn't cool. It's actually counterproductive to what this board is all about.
I usually bite my tongue on these things but... what do you think this board is all about? Is it about going out of your way to read a thread about, and then bash, an Ohio graduate who decided to go to grad school elsewhere? Is it about “trolling” Arkley, and calling him unprofessional? Oh wait... those were you. Does Arkley not share the same love for this school and program? Or does that standard only apply when you feel you’re being trolled?

So here's the game I saw. Morehead had two of the quickest guards on the same team we'll see all year. They moved the ball very well and found the open man. They were able to drive and kick out. At the guard position, they were better than we were today. They had no one to match up with Vander Plas. Springs is a legitimate backup at center. When the 6, 7 and 8 guys get back from injury, McMurray and Price are the 11 and 12 man. Had it been a practice, Boals would have gone on the floor tonight and yanked McMurray off. I've never seen him so mad. Tore his jacket off but didn't toss it ala Danny Nee. A good win against a team that played hard and hard three very good guards.

Good analysis, Alan.

Do you know if Juice Thomas (#12) had played against us before when he was at NIU? I don't remember him there, but that doesn't actually mean anything.

I know many will dismiss this, but this is a tough weekend game for the team. They are looking forward to heading home for a few days for the Holiday. its less than a stellar opponent, Easy to be off your game. These are mostly 18-20 year old kids. Good start to the season - Happy Holidays Bobcats. Have fun at home.

I suspect the area of the floor of that time out may need work. Jeff was "hot" enough to "bubble" the polyurethane on the court. Facility Management might need to take a look ????
And at that point in the game he needed to be,

Say, what do you think the poster's penalty would have been for dribbling out the clock, one point down OR QB running out the clock within field goal range? Have mercy on them...Merry Christmas all!

Always a fair point. The games around finals week and the holiday can yield results like this one sometimes.

I agree with you, and Alan - let's just add - #2, and #12 couldn't miss. Even when they were pressured, they were making shots. At the end of the day, Ohio won the game, and perhaps Ohio can learn lessons from this one. BVP was an absolute beast in this one.

Soemthing I was looking at during this one is Dartis and the chase to get the school record for made 3's. Kellogg had 290. Going into this one, I think Jordy had 230. He made five I believe, which leaves him 55 away from that record. That's 2.8 made three's per game to finish out the year by my math, not including MAC Tourney play.

According to Sports-reference and ESPN, Dartis had 231 coming into the year. The Ohio stats page isn't showing any data for his freshman year for some reason, so I cant verify, but the Ohio record book shows 231 as well.

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/jordan-darti...

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats...

https://ohiobobcats.com/sports/mbkb/2019-20/files/ohio_mb...

With the 35 he has already hit this year, that puts him at 266. That is only 24 from Kellogg and 43 from Nate Navigato's all-time MAC 3 point FG made record. With 19 games left he would need to average 1.26 per game to catch Kellogg and 2.26 per game to tie Navigato.

Thank you for finding all that info Eagle66. I was trying to add up all his years and then this year while at the game. I obviously missed something. 266 means it'll happen and then some before the conference season ends.

Morehead St shot 50% from 3...That really sums up why we struggled to pull away. Happy to survive that and move on. Dartis was the answer to them raining threes down on us.

40 minutes again from Preston. Can't imagine coach wanted to see that in this game. Averaging 37.1...12th in the nation. This all before conference play, when we'll want him there more than ever. 8 more assists and JP is 4th in the country in assists per game. Reminder, he is a sophomore.

BVP becoming more and more of a legit scorer from anywhere on the court! Reminder, also just a sophomore.

Brown 6 minutes and Price 4 minutes. Really hope we can get these 2 more minutes in the final OOC tuneup. Even if we don't pull away from Campbell...I would use a deeper rotation and not play anyone over 32 minutes or so. So what if we lose to Campbell, we need to get ready for conference play and right now we have overworked starters and a bench with very light experience.

if 1998 is the year he/she was born, barely, if it is the year of graduation, more than likely.
