I know this has already been beat to death, but this date switch this late in the season kills any chances of a good crowd for Jordy's last game as a Bobcat. With the OHSAA postseason already started, those games are going to be a more important draw than this one and that's sad. I hope anyone who can go, will go.

Obviously, I'm not shy on this point. This sucks, and it ticks me off as a season ticket holder. Ten days ago, I sent an email to Julie Cromer and Amy Dean expressing my frustration about this, figuring that complaints on a message board isn't going to get any real change started. No response to date. If I knew who to send it to in the MAC offices, I'd probably send it to them too.

Stuff like this absolutely is going to influence my spending decisions on Ohio Athletics and "MACtion" in the future. For me, this became a the final nudge between my renewing everything without a second thought, and considering if there are other ways my wife and I can spend our time and dollars.
(worth noting that, no matter what, I'll have basketball tickets - just might spend less.)

That said, I agree, I hope anyone who can go, does. If I didn't have prior plans with my parents Friday, I'd be there regardless of how annoyed I am. Instead, I'll be watching on 'tape delay' when I get home Friday night.

But it’s better to be on tv. The more games on tv, the more money OU makes. And even if you have a problem with it it’s not Ohio’s fault, it’s the MAC’s fault. You better hope we don’t get good because Buffalo played almost all of their MAC weekend games on a Friday last year.

1. Senior Day, including one of the best Bobcats we've had in a while in his last game in the Convo.

2. Kent, while not a rival, is always a good draw and usually a really good game.

3. Most high school games in the area are probably playing on Friday, and the ones that aren't may have been bounced from the tournament already.

4. The other games we'll be competing with for eyeballs that night: Harvard at Columbia (ESPNNews), Davidson at Dayton (ESPN2), Villanova at Creighton (FS1), loaded NBA schedule and a smattering of women's basketball games.

I don't know how much money we're making off of these, since CBS is only airing 12 football games and 12 basketball games a season. And all of that money is split between the conference members. It can't be THAT large.

Newark fans hoping to catch Dartis' senior night lucked out.

All Central Ohio DI second-round games are scheduled for Friday. However, Newark announced a couple of days ago that their home game has been moved to Thursday night so the gym can be used for a wrestling tournament Friday night. I know several local Bobcat fans that wouldn't have been able to make it Friday night are now planning on being there for Dartis' home finale.

Is it better? How's the fan base of this conference going to look in ten years after games get moved around on a whim two weeks before a game for ESPN or CBS? Agree with me, or not, this angers fans that buy tickets and season tickets only to watch their plans get screwed up. The MAC should be able to negotiate a deal that at least extends the notice required to move the date of the game to 30-45 days.

What other conferences have this kind of deal that allows a TV "partner" to move their game dates?

For a variety of reasons, I’ve missed every game this year - as a season ticket holder. This was on the calendar, room is booked... and I’m screwed by the MAC office. Disheartening.

I hope Dartis goes off and that my first game of the year is in Cleveland.

I hope so as well. Send a note to the AD. I feel like they need to be made aware in cases like this that several people's plans are affected by this wonky TV deal. Even if they can't change it now, it could have bearing on the future. Maybe? Possibly?

Interesting that they play the sectional games there. My knowledge was based off the East District which has switched to the higher seeds' home gyms for the first two rounds in sectional play.

I believe the southeast district has neutral site games for sectional rounds, but it is into district play there. The southeast plays sectional games a week before some of the other districts.

But, Ohio is 1/12 of the MAC, so agreeing to this contract, in a way, is somewhat an Ohio move.

You guys realize that the ADs of colleges and universities get probably close to one hundred emails, maybe more, a day? And not just from fans? You can't blame them for not taking the time to read every single email they get from the fans.

Oh for sure, we would get crushed by any D1 varsity team. I mean to say that average fans and students might put our club team on the same playing field as our varsity teams, and not think of hockey as second rate to basketball.

I disagree.

If not her personally,someone in her office should be reading every email sent to her and sending out at least an "acknowledgement".

"Relevant" emails could then be given to her to read and responded to.
