Sad commentary on the state of amateur college basketball in some places:]
"As an assistant coach, sometimes your job is to get players and I’d say probably eight to 10 times in my career, we didn’t get a kid because we wouldn’t pay him money."
It's not like this is breaking news. It's been happening for years and will continue to happen until major reform is made.
To Alan: that has been happening for a couple decades at least.
To GoCats: to any reform,there will still be cheating and gamesmanship. Most of the structure today is in response to the cheating that occurred when kids could work and make money.
