This game is listed above as ESPN3, rather than ESPN+. I've gotten so use to watching away games via ESPN+ and my AppleTV, that I haven't logged into ESPN3 for a long time. Does this mean that this game will not be available as part of my ESPN+ package, and that I'll have to login to ESPN3 and hook my computer up to the TV via an HDMI connection like I used to do all the time? Boy, that's so mid-2010s! ;-)

ESPN3 and ESPN+ broadcasts are both accessible through the ESPN app, which is what you are probably already using if you have an AppleTV. As long as you also subscribe to a live television provider that carries ESPN, such as any cable provider or a streaming option (Hulu Live, Youtube TV, etc), you will be able to get this game on the ESPN App. Go to your settings in the ESPN app and login with your online credentials for your live TV provider. Or, just before gametime, you should see the game listed in "Live & Upcoming" and you'll be prompted to login to your TV provider if you select the game. If you can't find the game in "Live & Upcoming", scroll down to the section where you can select the specific sport you want to watch and choose basketball.

It stinks for me that so many of Ohio's games have been on ESPN3 rather than ESPN+. I have no cable subscription so I can't watch them. I've maintained ESPN+ because I thought I'd be able to watch the majority of Ohio's games with it, but that hasn't been true. Five of the next six games are on ESPN3. Most of the remaining women's games (seven of 10) are on ESPN+, though not the next one against Central Michigan.

Have you tried YouTube TV? I use it now in place of "cable", it's $50/mo, and gives me all the ESPN's, CBSSN, NBC, FS1, FS2, SECN, BTN, and access to ESPN3. Also lets you record unlimited programming, and allows us to watch on nearly any device with a connection. For example, My parents watched a game on YouTubeTV on a cruise ship with the ship's Wi-Fi.

Yes, if I ever went back to having live TV, it'd probably be through YouTube TV or Hulu Live as opposed to cable or satellite. I've tried both, as well as Sling, which to me was far inferior to the other two as to what it offered for the price (no local channels or regional sports channels). But as for now, I'm trying to save the money. There is basically nothing I would watch on TV except sports.

Thanks, what you describe, is exactly what I've been doing. I was confused because I thought that most of our games had been on ESPN+ rather than ESPN3. I guess since I have Spectrum Cable and AppleTV the difference between these two services has been rather transparent to me once I turn on the AppleTV. Personally, I'd cut the cable myself, but my wife and son would protest loudly. Happy to know that I can watch the game Saturday!

We might have to win this one inside the arc. In MAC games, BSU has given up the fewest attempted threes per game to opponents (19.3) and the fewest makes (46 in seven games; 6.6 per game).

Agree.

Anyone going to make the almost 4 hour trip to see Jordy tie/break the record?

I have a breakfast meeting Saturday ~ 2 hours away, so thinking about it.

Last time I traveled to a game there Rick Majerus was the coach and it was the old arena.

Teague is a darkhorse for MAC POTY and El-Amin is a sniper. Ogbonda may be able to neutralize Teague on the glass, but I would still expect him to get his points. Cannot let El-Amin go off. Cannot, cannot, cannot. This will also be an opportunity for BVP to stay on the floor more so than the past three games. Mallers is not going to out-athlete him.

This one is going to be tough.

Totally get the 'not watching except for sports' approach. That's one of the reasons I like YouTube TV so much -- I get all the sports channels I need and it's the most affordable way for me to do it I've found.

We are not playing well and would be losing anyway but the officials have done us no favors. Even the announcers, who are likely BSU affiliated, have commented on a couple calls, which is probably the limit for negative comments that can be made by the locals.

Ball State has the best defense in the conference. Our horrible shooting performance combined with plenty of missed opportunities and unforced errors in the face of their clear defensive skill did us in, this afternoon. (I hate to blame the officials for any loss, but that charge on Brown was a true “rally killer” and a horrible call). I like how the team battled until the end. I have faith that this team will eventually flip the script. Go Cats!

Was at this one.

Nothing would go down. And that charge really killed momentum. Jeff was lucky to not be t’d up. He ran all the way down the bench into the tunnel and got the stare of death from the official.

I couldn't pay full attention as I was doing house chores, but was there also a missed foul on a dunk attempt by Preston?

From what I saw, we played well enough to win. We committed a few too many turnovers but not an outrageous amount. You have to shoot confidently and make the open shots. That's the bottom line. The open looks were there. Have to make them.

Boals has this team playing hard. I believe this team can win on any given night. Last year I felt like we would lose and be surprised with a win. This year I am not surprised by much.

And the Brown call was AWFUL!!

In spite of the outcome, there were things to like today. Each of our freshmen had good moments. McDay seems to be more confident and his defense is great. Roderick and Miles Brown showed some Division 1 moves as well. Foster has had occasional moments when he looks like he can be a force underneath someday. As much as I would like to see Springs mix it up underneath, you have to like his 3-pt shooting. Games like this can only help build confidence in this very young group of players.

And let's not forget how much time Brown and Roderick missed or even Murrell being gimped. Heck, love McMurray energy and that dude continues to have bad luck. Appreciate Vest as long as we have him and hope for some newbies who can play right away next year.
