Absolutely. And no way does Akron want to play Ohio right now. Akron barely got past Ohio in both games and should have lost the last one. Ohio matches up with Akron very well. I love this matchup.

I mean shoot - this team has already overachieved. Why not keep it going? Going to be a struggle against the leagues #1 team and a proven March winner in Groce, but man Boals has us going in the right direction.

I mean I wouldn't put money on us - but we've got a punchers chance. Crazier things have happened.

Edit to add: Filed away in the looking too far ahead department. Fiami just beat Beefalo. If THEY can pull that kind of upset, so can we.

Means if Ohio can find a way past Akron....winner of Fiami - N Illinois awaits in the semis. That's begging to look like a REALLY winnable game if we can get there.

Plus it’s always difficult to beat a team three times in a season. I just hope we are full strength going into this one.

I'm excited to confront this myth already. A team that wins the first two is an overwhelming favorite to win the third. "It's tough to beat a team three times in a season" only applies when no games have been played and one team hasn't demonstrated dominance over the other.

Tell that to the Red Hawks / Beefs Jeff 😬 haha (in all seriousness I agree with you on this in most cases)

Given that Ohio lost each game by only one possession, it's safe to say one team hasn't demonstrated dominance over the other.

Boals talks about 5 min Wars (much like Groce did when here, and every other coach these days)

I see this team what matters is

1st 5 min War H1

1st 5 min War H2

Last 5 mi War H2

Win those - We win

Actually,a Corona, with a lime wedge, sounds like a great way to enjoy
the game. :-)

3 cases in Ohio, OSU has suspended all class until at least April, State basketball tournament may not happen, exhibit of the Arnold cancelled. Interesting times

30 cases in Ohio, OSU has suspended all class until at least April
30? Last night it was 3. Did you accidentally add a 0 or did 27 more cases pop up overnight?

3 cases in the entire state,so you close down the campus for a month.

Oh,wait,if what OSU put out is correct, dorms stay open.

So,no face to face classes, but its O.K. in dorms.

What about meals ?

And,lets not forget about labs.
They're hard to do on line.

Really dumb by OSU to disrupt the college education of so many for this. I'll be very annoyed if Ohio follows suit, but I suspect they and most all others will.

Gotta believe if it was football season, OSU wouldn't be so quick to cancel classes.

Don’t shoot the messenger! Also no new events allowed to be scheduled until April 20th with encouragement for organizers to consider changes on previously scheduled events. OSU wants rid of OHSAA sports, already scheduled to be kicked off OSU campus after next year, looks like they may expire date the process.

No knock on you.
It just that right now,the "chicken little" approach seems a bit much.

To add, not knocking BTC as the messenger, but this is beyond stupid. When's the last time we closed schools/businesses and disrupted commerce because of cold season? You'd think COVID-19 turned us all into lepers overnight and tomorrow will be Day 0 of the Walking Dead by the way people are treating this.

But hey, it's an election year. Why not inflict as much pain as humanly possible? Let's just cancel NCAA sports, including the tournament, for a couple months while we're at it. Ya know, "for safety".

Appears the pressure is coming straight from the Governors office.

In the words of Michael Gary Scott...

It says here, Akron fans are smudge and arrogant.

Surprising, too, coming from a school with 0 NCAA tournament wins.
