I haven't, but the NBA using it is a different thing.

I loved watching it, and I think it fits the all-star game format perfectly. Don't think it belongs in any "real" game including the lesser college tournaments. The point was to make the game more competitive and it succeeded. Real games have no need to manufacture that.

I also love the tweaks to the three point shooting competition (money ball rack placed wherever you want, two 30 foot shots worth three points)

I love it and think it should be implemented in at least the NBA and maybe college. I don't think you can do it at youth levels because you could have really long dry spells, especially as the opponents play very defensive to ensure they don't reach the point total.

Full disclosure, I am a baseball junky that simply hates game clocks and how they change how the game is played. I loathe how the 4th quarter of a football game goes where the scoreboard leader becomes a slave to the game clock and how much it dictates pass vs throw.

Here is a radical / will never happen thought for football. Get rid of the game clock and go to a possession based game. Each team gets 10 (12? not sure what the right number is) possessions per game, period. Field position still matters greatly, basically everything can stay the same except we are no longer slaves to the clock and teams can continue to play their game.

Yes if a team is up 25 with just 3 possessions remaining, they can not mathematically come back, so just let them play pointless football where backups can get shots. Not much different than a 25 point lead in the 4th quarter under the clock based game.
