Good for Jason. Happy he got to 1,000 points. I hope he realizes that if he would have gone to Xavier or a bigger school from the start he would never even have sniffed it. He's averaging 6 ppg and 5 rpg right now as the fifth guy. If he would have stayed it would have been exciting to see him teaming with Preston, Dartis, BVP and McDay with Ogbonda off the bench!

To that point, I wonder if Xavier will even list him as a 1000 point scorer in their records book.

[/QUOTE]First, this doesn't come off as sounding salty at all, just so you know.

Second, remember, if Carter stays, someone else isn't going to end up here -- perhaps Ogbonda, perhaps one of the freshmen.

I would hope that all schools only recognize players totals in the scoring records that were at their school. Or, at least designate what was scored at said school in the record book.

The Xavier basketball Twitter account posted a 1,000 point graphic of Jason, including pictures of his time at both Ohio and Xavier. Very classy move, IMO.

Considering that OHIO caught Eastern at the perfect time (they are getting some upsets now) and the very close loses OHIO suffered early on in MAC play. IMO if Carter had stayed he likely would have been the difference between middle of the pack and best in MAC (along with Frye abdicating his thrown)

What I'm trying to say, with more stout defense and freshman development, OHIO might be in the thick of the top ranks of the MAC sooner than later!

Go Boals, Go Bobcats!
