Just another Tuesday night ...
NIU wins at Toledo
Ball wins at Kent
EMU beats Buffalo
WMU wins at Miami
CMU beats BG
Yup. All of that totally makes sense.
So you're telling me there's a chance?
Crazier things have happened! (See 2010)
We've established that Ohio is NOT a real contender this year. I agree with that. But if you look at most of their games (take out Ball last week), they've been super competitive and even at 2-7 in the league ... that could easily be 4-5, or hell even 6-3 if they got some bounces.
So is it unlikely that a team that goes 6-12 or worse in the league wins the MAC Tourney. Yep.
Is it impossible for Ohio to catch some lady luck come March and go on a run. Sure. Why not? They've proven they can hang with any team in the league. They now have a month to figure out how to finish some of these games and actually start winning them.
I'm not booking hotels for the second Saturday in Cleveland just yet ... but it would NOT be the most stunning thing I've seen as a Bobcat Fan.
That would be Frank Solich actually winning meaningful games in November and in Detroit on the first week of December.
Sorry ... couldn't resist :)
