How many calls has Jimmy C placed to Kent State's Athletics Director today?
Canisius fans just got excited!
Is this official, or just speculation?

If Kent can't keep Senderoff from a rundown program like Fordham ... what does that tell the next guy who wants to be a head coach there?
Sounds all but done. Senderoff's first FT coaching job was at Fordham -- so he has ties. I'm guessing he's gotten some NIL promises to make it more appealing as well.

However, we need to acknowledge that the MAC, although a mid-major conference by definition at the moment -- it's tough to tell which direction the conference is trending in for basketball. So, it really shouldn't be a surprise if any coach leaves or if the jobs are viewed as stepping stones.

I say this because since my own affiliation (08) began, only two teams have capitalized in March - ourselves and Buffalo, multiple times. Buffalo then proceeded to ignore what apparently the rest of CBB knows and that's Bryan Hodgson was and is still currently, a coaching star on the rise. Huge missed continuity opportunity after Oats left for Bama.

Toledo has accumulated a plethora of some of the most talented players I've personally ever seen in the conference and can't even showcase that on the national stage because Tod K evidently lacks the March factor. Without knowing Toledo's NIL details, it might be why there's been such an exodus the last two portal seasons.

Akron has been the face in March 3 out of the last 4 seasons, but still lacking the MM win.

We've also been trending in the wrong direction since our Virginia win. What's the last marquee win for the conference?

The better players in the conference are leaving, so I think it should be expected at some point to see the better coaches leave as well.
Senderoff turns down 6 year deal to stay at Kent. False alarm after all.

My guy pulled a James Franklin! Flirt with another school just to get a better or longer deal with your current one. Kudos, Sendy.

And yet another Head Basketball Coach going on social media asking alumni/fans to donate to NIL. I'll ask again...has anyone associated with our men's basketball program done this since NIL was born?

“Amending for clarity: Kent St. coach Rob Senderoff is signing a six-year deal to stay on w/ the Golden Flashes. KSU is going to make him one of the top-three coaches in salary *in the MAC* and a massive commitment in NIL+rev share has been promised for the MBB program as a result.”

I really hate to keep agreeing with you, but you are absolutely right. Timing is everything, and Tim didn't have it. Cromer might be the worst AD in Div 1 and hate men, but the onus here is on TA. If he had waited until after the MACC to start flirting with other schools, his OHIO salary if he chose to stay would have seen a large increase up to or exceeding UNCC standards.

Cue up you know who, for a Monroesque rant!

While Sendy and many other basketball coaches across America are on social media this week telling alumni/fans how to donate to their program's NIL Collectives.....we are encouraging fans to donate money for a bunch of Ohio Alumni hoops players to play on a summer tournament reunion team.

Make it make sense.
