I just did a quick search of the stats for XU.

Last 3 games has played 30+ mins. 1 reb short of 2 double doubles in that span. . Basically averaging 8 and 6(rounded up)in 25 min/g.

He hit the game winning free throw. About 7 people fouled out, including Xavier’s top 3 guards. Carter needs to play with more confidence, he is very hesitant but the good thing is that he does start. Fremantle had like 5 or six blocks, he is good for a freshman

Good for him. Now quit telling us how ship jumpers who never realized their potential at OU are doing.

There’s a simple solution to your problem.... DON’T OPEN THE THREAD.

Jason Carter worked his behind off when he was here (on and off the course). He graduated early, announced his intentions in a timely manner and didn’t string anyone along. Some of us appreciate the work he did while he was in Athens and wish him well at Xavier. Again if you don’t, and have no desire to know how he’s doing, don’t read the thread

What ever happened to “ once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat”?

Not saying these are comparable situations, but does that apply to Jason Grunkemeyer? ;-)

Jason hasn't missed a FT this season. 17 for 17. We could use a little of that magic. Puzzles me that BVP struggles at the line. Good stroke, coaches kid, works hard, smart, why can't he figure out the freebies?

Always gonna root for JC no matter what. Just gonna wonder "what could have been" with a lineup this year of improved Preston, healthy Jordy, BVP and Roderick.

I saw him in a Xavier game last week and thought he'd bulked up a bit, but Xavier lists him about seven pounds lighter than he was here. Maybe he's gotten more muscle.

Led the team in minutes yesterday in a loss vs Florida. Finally missed a free throw, only scored 5 points and 5 rebounds with only 2 shot attempts. I still maintain the best value he provides is defensively.

I am not surprised. He was a tremendous talent for the MAC and I would have loved to have seen Boals get a chance to work with him. Oh well, no hard feelings from me. Very few players would not take advantage of a grad transfer with 2 years of eligibility left during a coaching change. Not even close to the same situation as Simmons, in my opinion.

I watched most of the X vs Florida game and obviously Jason isn't the go to guy for Xavier but it almost seemed like he was being put on freeze offensively by his
teammates. Any offense he was going to get was via rebounding. He looked good though.

Agreed, Carter came to Ohio to attend school and play ball. He played ball and got his degree. He fulfilled his obligation to OHIO Basketball, then chose others pastures to graze in.

+2

I can't believe anyone is dragging a kid who parlayed a four-year scholarship into fully paid undergrad (and likely) grad degrees. He had the smarts and the talent to do it, and I wish him well.

Interesting when you consider that Carter did not have to. Does this mean they think he is not good enough to play right away?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I think the difference between the 2 is that Carter is a graduate and thus eligible to play immediately at his new school, whereas TK is not and must sit a year before playing.
