I haven't seen an official announcement so apologies if I have missed one, but based on this tweet of returning players, Murrell joins Nathan Springs as players who are not returning this season. That leaves us with one open scholarship.

I posted in an existing thread, but let's keep it here. His twitter indicates he is staying in the program as a graduate assistant.

Unless something falls into our laps, I think we will sit on the scholarship for next year. With Wilson sitting, that means we will have only 11 scholarship players eligible, and with our injury luck, that means another year of liability.

Nice to see Connor will make a contribution to the program in some capacity. I feel bad for the guy because it seemed like injuries never allowed him to realize his full potential as a player. Just wasn't meant to be.

And being down and extra player certainly worries me, especially this season where we have no idea who may be available from game to game if Covid is still impacting the season.

If Covid is an issue "game to game" there will be no season.
