I agree that we're the top job in the MAC, but really surprising to me that we rank 1st in "Selling Pros."

Between Hunter, Rooks, and N'Dour, I guess we've had guys playing at a high level in Europe pretty consistently, but you've got to go pretty far back to find a Bobcat with a lengthy NBA career. And while Trent had a solid NBA career, I'm not sure why it would resonate more with recruits than guys like Szerbiak, Kaman, Ron Harper, Majerle, and Bonzi Wells.

And of course, you know, George Gervin was pretty good, if you're willing to go way back.

George Gervin didn’t play in the MAC, and was thrown off the team. I guess it’s cool to have a link to a NBA Hall of Famer, but that was an entirely different world.

I don't know what context they were trying to frame "selling pro's" in, but it's worth considering that perhaps "selling pros" isn't limited to the NBA.

As a way to view what the Ohio program could do I wouldn't benchmark against Gonzaga or Xavier but look down the road at WVU, another school in the Appalachian region with an alum coaching that has success. Steady but not spectacular success in the NCAAs but compare their record to Ohio over the past 15 years. Mostly they've made the Sweet Sixteen with one Final Four in 2010 thrown in there.
