I predict we will host St. Bonaventure, but I don't know anything else.

At this point, you may want to hope we even have basketball

+1. If we get league play only by January 2nd, I'll be happy.

With no fall sports and on-campus housing and instruction ending at Thanksgiving, I don't see any games being played before the first of the year.

I saw the UMES game on our home page today and hadn't heard about it before. Some twitter sleuthing revealed that it was known since early June.

I'm optimistic that the season will start on time in November since cases overall are trending downward. I'll be thankful for any basketball that allows all 350+ teams access to a normal NCAA tournament.

If you cannot play an outdoor sport in November, how in the world do you justify being able to play an indoor sport during November. On a personal note of feeling, they should not be starting any winter sports during the period of fall sports that have been cancelled.

The state of the union at the beginning of fall seasons vs. the beginning of winter seasons.

Cases in Ohio and Athens County have started up again.

Last five weeks of daily averages in Athens

2.86, 1.57, .71, 1, last 5 days 4

After hitting a 21 day average of 1013 on August 26, Ohio has steadily moved up to 1037 yesterday. In fact yesterday's one day count was the highest since July 31.

Much of it likely is a result of colleges and schools resuming.

That's the leading demographic but last I heard, college basketball is generally played on campuses where college students are. :)

Right, wasn't saying it was going to go away or anything. Just putting it out there for people to interpret whatever they thought it might mean for basketball.

Considering how the non-conference schedule is pretty crappy most years, I'd more or less be in favor of the MAC just playing conference games this season.

Funny, how the anti football guy tries to justify, cancelline 1 to play the other.

Same here. Hoops is something that truly gets me through winter's short days. I'm gonna have to find a new hobby if it doesn't happen, or I can't go to a game at all.

"BuT MaSkS ArE LoWeRiNg CaSeS"

Just admit that the virus does what it does and quit trying to re-lock things back up while cases in Ohio are going back up......

Otherwise, Toledo just announced its league games.

The MAC schedule is available on the MAC website. But they don't have a release posted. Odd.
