If this had all happened last year in March, how do you think things play out? Assume we just had won to move on to Cleveland as we did, then were left hanging to see how the season would've played out. Do you think that Saul gets another year with the team? Interviewing other coaches would be difficult, so would Schaus just figure it would be best for a one-year extension?

Yes, I'd say so.

I doubt it. I get the impression that Schaus had his mind made up long before March. He probably would've made his move right away because Stony's season would also be done.

Hard to fire a coach who just claimed a share of the national title...

The search would have been significantly different. Would have bordered on what happened at WMU. If you think the university systems are going to have coin to throw around at free will, you got another thing coming. Especially given the priority of athletics to the overall university approach and an article like this that comes out on occasion. Lucky for schools, Covid-19 buried this article

Bad look for Fiami and Balls, not sure how we are shown as having $0 in fees?

I’ve contended for years IF students were given the option of opting out of paying the sports fees on the tuition bill they would be doing so in droves. As attendance numbers across collegiate athletics continue to drop, coupled with the apathy shown by large portions of the student body towards these programs, a great reckoning may be upon us.

Let’s be honest a large potion of our own fan base have been practicing “social distancing” before it became fashionable to social distance. They just stopped showing up and created lots of distance between themselves and the events!
