Now I admit that I have only seen this kid play in 1 game but 1 game was enough for me to be really excited about our team this year.
He showed the ability to clog the middle.
He showed the ability to get position down low for easy buckets.
He hustles down the court
He scores and rebounds

He checks all of the boxes that is for sure. It seems so easy at that position to find a player who can get 8 and 8 every night, but as we know, it's not. If Wilson delivers 8 and 8 every game...we are really in business.

Would have loved to have had him for a minimum two years. Hoping Boals can find a similar player at this position for next year, but we get more than one season. Great find by Boals and company.

I kind of expected him to be an 8 and 7 kind of player, but he's shown a little more offensive skill than I expected, averaging 12 points per game so far.

Wasn't there an announcement that Winter sports athletes were also going to get an extra year of eligibility? My assumption is he will have the opportunity to play this year & next if he chooses.

How would that work with our scholarships? I don't believe we have any 2021 commits right now but I know we have offers out there. Bad year to be a HS class of 2021 guy for many reasons.

No idea, but it's definitely something that each school has to work out. This year is basically a mulligan for all Fall and Winter athletes. I was wondering the other day how this would impact the record books. Seems like there will be lots of people who get to play 5 full years in their respective sports.

NCAA hasn't given any info on expanding scholarship numbers or anything like that yet. Each school/program would also have to decide if it's worth the extra cost to carry more scholarship athletes if the NCAA approves something like that.

If everyone stays (FINGERS CROSSED) then Wilson will be our only player lost and we are adding A.J. Clayton from Philo as an early enrollee this January to go on scholarship next year. I would hope Foster, Granger and Miguel can grow this year and mature and be ready.
