I mean no disrespect, but this is the most hopeless program playing Division 1 basketball (hey, it has to be someone). We overmatch this team at every position. No messing around, build a big lead early, play all 15 guys and move on.

I'm pleasantly surprised the Fighting Illini productions are streaming this game. Wonder if there is a fee?

Reading the WAC board and the thread about Chicago State. That conference is a hot mess.

Poster 1: "UMKC, Cal Baptist, Dixie State, and Tarleton State all joined after Chicago State was added. Who has turned down a WAC offer?"

Response: "Metro State, some other Colorado d2 schools, some Big Sky schools and a few schools from the Southland. The list is long my friend. The WAC is a leper colony."

There was a time that I had just figured the WAC was gone after so many schools had been picked off for other leagues.

Definitely is quite the mix of programs. I think New Mexico State is the only team that has any long-standing history within the conference.

NJIT has actually improved some.

I don't have anything for you re warnings about a possible trap game.

Chicago St. won a total of four games last season and did not win a game in the WAC. Marietta College would be better competition.

Sure is unlike the women who open with Liberty and Notre Dame. The Bobcat men have four given wins and have a legit shot at five out of six if they defeat Marshall. Guess Bolden has a different scheduling philosophy than Boals?

This is another Capital, Heidelberg, Rio or Wilbenforce game, without fans forking out cash to see them in the Convo.

Are you seriously complaining non-stop about a team that was picked last minute to replace a team that dropped out? This will be the first of three straight games on successive days. I'm hoping they are essentially a walk-over so we can ease everyone into the season and not have to play Preston 38 minutes in all three games. Would like to see all the new guys get as much court time as possible in this one. North Carolina A&T is going to be a track meet and Illinois is going to be extremely tough. No sugar coating these guys. They aren't good but they are going to show up and try to beat us. It's appointment TV for me.

I didn't read it as a complaint. In a way, it's fortunate to be playing what should be a pretty weak opponent first in the absence of secret scrimmages and exhibitions. See if anything is said about Mississippi Valley, because the way I look at it, I'm thankful for anything.

I got a hunch this team is gonna be the Green Machine this year. It's gonna be a team that can fly on people and come over the boards with multiple looks. Excited to see how much of a jump we make from Year 1 to Year 2 under Boals

I'm just happy to have an opportunity to watch a basketball game this season. They could be playing Athens Middle School....don't care. Appointment TV for me as well.

That is likely because the video is on BTN.

CSU's coach is opting out the season. Lance Irvin is a two-time cancer survivor and has been advised by his doctor to not be on the sideline or participate in practice. Doesn't appear this will affect our game.
