He says he’s for it, but also realizes the challenges.

Should we pay kids who are part of valuable research that makes money? In places like OHIO we have more students involved in money making research that is more valuable than Athletics.

And it's not the only one making money for the university. There are some others, including a new class of antibiotics developed by our scientists that are harder for mutated bacteria to gain resistance too. The last time I heard the first drug in this class had only been approved for animal use, specifically bovine mastitis.

Boom!!!

Giamaco needs to realize the best parts of this University are not seen on ESPN. I’ll say these students and many involved have actually made more money that Athletics has ever made.

We should pay those kids as well, and I know many of them. They actually make GROSS profit, not subsidized money of Athletics.

So I read the whole piece and the takeaway I got was because people are going to cheat and because the NCAA won't enforce their rules, we should pay players.

And when we used to pay players people still cheated, and would continue to do so.

That is a ridiculous statement to make. I'm simply trying to understand what he was referring to. If a student gets paid for working in the cafeteria, they should be paid for doing research, or for any work they perform.

Still haven't heard a solution to the Title IX issue of paying players.

Its not just Title IX.

If you're going to pay D1 athletes in one sport, then you have to pay all D1 athletes, male and female, in all sports.

You'd also have to pay all members on all teams equally.

That won't as Thompson pointed out, won't sit well with start players.
