Pretty good hoops for semi-pro teams sort of thrown together.

Anybody else been watching this?

One of the teams was made up of MAC players but it appears they had to withdraw, I assume because of positive test results.

Have you seen the lineup for the "tOSU" team? They could win it all. Maybe.

But this team has a nice mix of players...

Wasn't Putney on that ranked UMASS team that came to the convo during the Saul era?

It was Christian's last year. Yes, matchup problem for Ricardo. UMass played him at the 3. Really nice jumper form at that height.

Interesting team. The GM, Paris Horne, was offered by O'Shea and I'm pretty sure took an official visit with us. Iso Joe on the team? Wow wow wow.

Ahh, I misremembered. I do think that was the game Mo N'Dour had a huge alley oop dunk.

Another reason this tourney is important, is that it is the "canary in a coal mine" to see if NBA and NHL can resume without Covid busting out.

So far, so good. But what is the deal with MSL soccer players testing positive in big numbers? I don't watch soccer. Actually, I don't even like it... but you have to wonder if these guy just can't stay away from bars and the party scene in general. The Dallas team won't be able to resume and Nashville might not either.

Overseas Elite has won this event 4 of the 6 years it has been held.
(OSU - 1, ND - 1)

OSU squad falls to Illini in big upset. Aaron Craft off to medical school.

I've said it before but I love the end of game rules for this.

The tOSU team was winning until Craft hurt his ankle. He tried to play late but was not a factor. It cost them the game but the other team played really good defense for glorified rec center ball.

Herd That (Turd's team) actually looks fun to watch. Hate to say it, but they get with the program in a hurry in transition

Mayweather's team blew a lead to lose to "Herd That" partly because two good defensive players they were supposed to have (Wade Baldwin and Austin Daye, both with NBA experience) had just signed Euro pro contracts and skipped the Columbus event.

With Baldwin and Daye, they would have won the game by 10+ points.

Regardless, Herd That plays the game the way I love to see it in SE Ohio/WV. Give up two, go get em back and gun for 3

Herd That got a fortunate draw in the first round. Seeded 23rd, they were supposed to play #10 Best Virginia, but Best Virginia had to withdraw because of COVID issues. Replacement team Playing for Jimmy V also dropped out, so the final of four replacement teams, Peoria, got the spot and was no match. Beating The Money Team was a really good win, but Overseas Elite will be a massive challenge at 2 today.

Led by former Central Michigan star Marcus Keane, who had 22 points, the #22 seed Sideline Cancer knocked off four-time champion Overseas Elite and is headed to the championship Tuesday. They'll take on The Golden Eagles, who beat Red Scare.

It's been a fascinating event. Who would have predicted the final game would be between a #22 seed and a #4 seed? I really thought the Mayweather Money team even without Daye and Baldwin had enough fire power to get to the finals and they didn't even win a game. And overseas elite went ice cold from three in the second half today to get eliminated.

I didn't realize all the talent that Sideline Cancer had. That's a deceivingly loaded team.
