I agree, he could go to a JUCO next year and with good coaching would probably get an offer from Duke, UK, Kansa or similar. Just freak athlete and raw talent. Way under appreciated here for all that he did.
Those are totally the schools that I was implying.
I was thinking a year at a JUCO and then an NBA lottery pick next summer.
Can you imagine the matchup problems he would create for teams in the NBA when he learns a Jumper.

I wonder if he'll be able to play this year? His excuse - new coach - is a far better reason than the quarterbacks who came into and left tosu.

I'm not sure if you regularly keep up with sports news but Ohio State had a coaching change as well. Tate Martell transferred and was granted a waiver of immediate eligibility at Miami. Now, the case of Justin Fields transferring in and being eligible differed in that he was the victim of racial abuse at Georgia.

The change at OU was very much different than tosu plus Martell transferred after a guy came in who was probably going to take his place.

Second year coach, Niko Medved. At college, was the student manager at Minnesota.

How many head coaches in the various big sports have never suited up past high school? Any big names come to mind?

Two years to work on his jump shot and free throw shooting and . . . same as before.

Caught some of UIC's game w/ CMU last night and TK goes 1 of 8 from the floor and 3 of 5 from the line with the same shooting form. However, he did seem to look for the open man and had 6 assists to go with 8 rebounds (always thought he was a good rebounder for a pg).

Through 2 games he's 6-23 shooting (26.1%), 2-6 3pt (33.3%) and 3-6 FT (50%). He is averaging 7.0 reb and 7.5 assists but also has 4.5 TO/G. Hope he does well. Glad it's not for us.

I think if you wanted to explain to someone what it is like to watch Kirk play you could tell them to imagine Chris Paul playing with his jersey is on fire.

Guess I don't follow these things as much, but how did he get to UIC by sitting out a year somewhere else? And 1 for 13 from the field? At some point don't you just have to know it's time to pass the ball or at least wonder why your opponent is leaving you open?

He never suited up for Colorado State after his transfer year was up. I'm thinking this was like a Walt Offutt Ohio State-Wright State-Ohio situation.

I always thought TK would be a better 2 or 3 man. He posted up guys well but really didn't handle the speed of the game much. I wish the best for the young man.

Caught some of the UIC game last night (switching between their game and the UT-Cleve St game). The other team tried the hack-a-Kirk to no avail at the end of the game. HE finished with 14 pts and 14 assists. The announcer was excited with what TK is going to add to this team but suggested if he was the coach he would put Kirk in a gym and not let him out until he made 1000 shots.

TK had 14 assists in a game? What? I think that is how many he had all of the 2018-19 season.

Not only 14 assists but only 1 TO. That's crazy. Looks like he may have spent the last year wisely. He's had a positive A/TO ratio in all three of their games so far this year. He had 4 for us his entire sophomore season (31 games). Good for him.
