Choose #1 It’s just become a true embarrassment to be on national tv venues and have shot clock issues for YEARS. Fix the damn thing already.

Donate the cash and I’m sure they would be happy to replace the physical clocks that are over 15 years old, and used every day.

So Billy, since you are close to the situation, where is the problem? In the wiring? In the connection? In the clocks? In the operators finger? Just curious what the guys down on the floor are seeing. I can't hardly believe that a post 2000 system has a finite life. I would love to know in 340 other schools what the age of their clocks are comparatively and how reliable they are. I don't seem to see a bunch of these problems frequently at other schools.

One has to think that post pandemic we would be limiting transmission using no touch POS systems and figuring out that Hand Dryers may be essential needs going forward.

No option for more security and fencing around the Convo perimeter? :)

We just installed a massive center scoreboard, and we can't find the cash to replace the shot clocks?

We got some new hand dryers during the 2019-20 season. I voiced my concerns frequently (in-person, surveys, and phone calls) and was pleasantly surprised to see new ones in the fall of 2019. Not all of the old ones were replaced, but there seemed to be at least 1 or 2 new working ones in the restrooms as best I could tell.
That being said my vote is for a new shot clock system. I can't understand why this issue hasn't been addressed before now.

I heard it's a matter of operator error. Everyone's saying it. You know it and I know it.

I have no problem believing this as a possible explanation.

I vote for #2

Hand Dryers should not be on the list, it was taken care of.

I just want to go to the Convo. It's killing me.

Admittedly, I have not been to a game at the Convo since the CIT game against Wright State in 2014. My first child was born the same year so free time has been scarce. Looking forward to coming to games again now that he's school aged.

I was taken aback by how badly a fresh coat of paint was needed on many things-but especially on the concourse and plaza outside the Convo. There were big chunks peeling/missing.

Has this been refreshed in the last few years?

Inside the Convo, the entire interior wherever blank panels/walls on the upper deck are looked kind of dingy on a screen shot I saw of the scoreboard on Twitter for last night's game. Does it really look that bad or was it just the quality of the picture I saw?

Not close to anything, I just know the facility. But when you have to drop the basket and work on the physical clocks as I saw on my TV screen, I doubt that has anything to do with any person, or anyone's finger. Maybe it's the fact they are almost 20 years old.

Sure wish we could find someone closer to the situation who could give us more information about the shot clock.

With no spectators attending for the foreseeable future does it really matter?

Are we calling solar calculators POS systems now?

Cause if we are, I have a graphical one to sell the Athletic Department.
