Miami dispatched NIU without drama. So make of that what you will.

Is this game really going to happen this time?

The football game was called off and wasn't this a make-up game from a postponed date? All that since my daughter started grad school at Fiami.

That Zool kid had 2 points on 0-4 from three shooting for NIU vs Fiami.

His breakout game vs Ohio was obviously fools gold. I keep up with local high school basketball and had never heard of him. None of the colleges in this area offered him that I recall. Not even the small D-2 schools.

Guess that change in coach high was just a one game thing.

I hope Fosters injury isn’t too serious. I’d like to see how he’s progressed.

Just noticed that the spread opened @ 7 now up to 9. Interesting.
Additionally I listened to the Miami coaches press conference this week. 1 call out was his mention of the teams conditioning not being where it should be. Interesting admission.

sad

Toledo, Ball State and others watchable

Not the premier journalism and broadcast school in the conference. Russ and Rob are going to be my eyes.

We have far more post muscle, so they are doubling when we get it down there. Putting four guards around Vander Plas is working well for us.

Guards win championships. Sears is the real deal. He and JP will make it happen.

They really had it clicking tonight! Hope that they can keep it up and even improve. I think we’ll see more minutes with both of them on the floor together. At least that was what I read between the lines in Boal’s postgame interview today on the Russell & Rob Show.

Basketball is a unique sport where one player can make a tremendous difference. Now I understand that a quarterback in football, a pitcher in baseball, and a goalie in soccer and hockey can make a tremendous difference. Yet in basketball, one in theory has to play as much offense as defense.

What a treat it was to see Jason giving us a totally different look than what we had seen in the last few games, which not only changed the complexion of the offense, it gave everyone a jolt of energy. I guess we could dub it a co-point guard system, when we have Preston and Sears are on the floor. It was also nice to hear the CBS Sports crew mention Jason's NBA potential. This game was just what the doctor ordered.

With's Jason's injury it's good that we have Sears to spell him. CBSSN said JP was occasionally grabbing the back of his thigh, so limiting his minutes over the next couple games will be good. Apparently it isn't very serious -- CBSSN said Boals would've played him the last couple of games if a championship was at stake -- but hamstrings can be tricky.

What a night for B-Rod.

Oh, and Fiami still sucks.
