Are you sure this is a CBSSports game? On my cable it has a women's game.

WMU's top 2 players, soph pg White and soph c Wright, did not play Saturday. Not sure if due to injury, COVID, coach's decision. . . Whitens did play, however.

Matt Sarz had it as CBS Sports Network. OhioBobcats.com has updated their schedule today to ESPN+.

ESPN+ is correct. Russ Eisenstein and Rob Cornelius will call it there, I'll have the radio call.

Ohio press release says CBS Sports Network but obviously they mean ESPN+.

ATHENS, Ohio --The Ohio men's basketball team (8-6, 4-4 MAC) is back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 26 when Ohio hosts Western Michigan (2-9, 1-7 MAC). Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET inside the Convocation Center. Tuesday's game can be seen on CBS Sports Network where Russ Eisenstein and Rob Cornelius will have the call.

I'm going big with this one, especially if Wright and/or White are out. Cats win 79-55.

I just wish I was leaving the office right now to drive down to Athens, get some dinner uptown, and head to the game. Going thru serious Convo withdrawal.

You and me both brother. Can't wait to fly back for a game as soon as possible.

As much as I like Shaka Smart, watching Texas basketball and the fans apathetic nature towards it compared to football brings my mood down.

I need my Convo fix.

All depends on how many dimes and O boards Lundo gets.

The offense is so good. So many weapons and honestly could be even better than we've seen as experience together builds. Obviously Preston & Sears on the same team is an embarrassment of Point Guard riches...but Roderick & McDay both seem improved with the ball handling, and Miles Brown can handle it well too. Then BVP & Wilson in the paint...Fun to watch.

Defensively, if we are being honest, I am not sure we can take much from this effort. Only 58 points but WMU struggled, missed a lot of decent looks and made dumb mistakes. Hopefully this weaker stretch in the schedule gives our guys a chance to find their mojo on defense, because if they do, Ohio can take the conference for sure.

Just 2 games following the loss to Kent and all the gloom and doom on here. . . to winning it all in Cleveland. Was it Jeff Mac, or someone other poster, who predicted this bi-polar reaction on BA?

Not even close to a prediction. Note the words IF and CAN. Come on.

The only for sure thing at BA is people taking the opinion/reaction/prediction of one person, then comparing it to one from a different person, then criticizing them as though they are the same person. The same super dumb and annoying tactic found in partisan political garbage.

Offense is a lot more likely to come together during a season than defense, unfortunately.

I know, you just hit a nerve. The content cops treating BA like it is one big hypocritical unstable person...one of the reasons why I feel like there is almost 0 actual discussion about actual game play and breaking things down anymore.

I remember when I brought this same concept up about three or four years ago. It went well for me then. (insert snarky face emoji)

That aside, I agree with you. I enjoy getting observations from folks who are far smarter than I about the nuances of coaching and playing the game itself. I've learned many things here over the years as a result. For example, until sometime in the 2011-12 season, I had no clue what it meant to "hedge", or I never paid attention to how good big's seal off with their positioning to create open space for a low post shot (Reggie became good at that in his last two years). I learned that here. We need more of that here, in my opinion, as we move forward.

Just my 18.04 cents.
