The schedule on here says 1:00. Which is correct?

Every single one of their losses has been by double digits. They have only one D1 win. They can make things hairy for teams for awhile in the first half (had a 17 point lead against BG last night) but in most of their games, there comes a point where they go on a drought. Like five to ten minutes of no scoring whatsoever, and it doesn't appear that their usual zone defense is effective, if they're even playing it at all, so that at least their opponent doesn't get too far ahead. Their opponents are routinely scoring in the 80s and 90s. I think we're as bad of a matchup for them as anyone in the league.

Also, it appears the Akron win clinched us a spot in Cleveland.

Could be a trap game, coming off the big win vs Akron and with Buffalo coming in Saturday. This should be an easy win; EMU is at or near the bottom of the MAC in almost every stat. But they did beat Akron for their only win, so anything's possible.

BTW, EMU's letting some fans in for their home games. They're averaging 45 fans per home game, so at least the pandemic hasn't cut down on their home crowds.

Is seeding based solely on win percentage? Do we have a chance at the #2 seed still?

EMU's zone in the past has been anchored by a frontline with a couple of 6-10 or so players. This year? 6-7 Ty Groce has been playing the middle of their backline. Just not as much length in their zone.

I asked Arkley this on his blog and he confirmed that win percentage is the primary metric.

It was originally announced as 1. Wonder if the women’s home volley ball match postponement tomorrow prompted the move to 2?

Mathematically we could get a #1 seed (but it's not going to happen). If we win out and Toledo wins just 1 of 3 we'd have a better % (.750 vs. .737) For #2 seed let's assume we'll lose one game the rest of the way. That would put our % at .688. Akron would have to lose all 3 of its games for a lower %. They have three tough games, but I don't anticipate they are going to shoot like they did yesterday the rest of the season. I think it was partially a case of over confidence since they beat us by 20 at Kron and they saw our two best players were out. Don't get me wrong. OUr guys played their butts off and deserved to win. Then there's Cant. If they split their remaining games (and of course one of our wins is against them), they would come in at .684, slightly lower than OUr .688.

And in the long run, does it really matter? Seeding just sets up who we play. Toledo is very good but they have lost 3 conference games. And is there really that much difference between the top 8 teams? Looking at the bottom 4, Balls is definitely the bottom feeder, but we don't have a reasonable chance to play them. Fiami has gotten better as the season has gone on. BG was picked to win the conference so the talent is there. And the Beefs are the inconsistent team they always seem to be . . . until it's tournament time.

I'm not worried that much about seeding. I'd like to see us get #6 or higher. This season, with the inconsistencies in games played and schedule strength, the main thing is to get to Cleveland and do your best there. That said, I hope we keep making progress in our remaining games to get ready for Cleveland.

And yet they beat Kent State today 90-71 (and have a win against Toledo). The MAC tournament is going to be rather unpredictable.

Ohio opened as 16 point favorites. However, the line has already moved to Ohio -13.5.

I'd love to put these guys away early. Don't let them stick around. Bottom line, just win.

I love what McDay brings to the table but his shot trajectory looks relatively flat to me. That usually doesn't bode well for consistency.

Sounded like Jason might play today. Wilson not until Saturday earliest, and sounded unlikely for Saturday

Agree on McDay. I thought he rushed some shots early in the shot clock v. Akron.
I was thinking that maybe he thought he had to do more with JP and Wilson on the bench.

Line now 11.5. I can't remember the last time I saw one of our lines move 5 points n a few hours...kind of strange. Vultures looking to capitalize on Preston/Wilson injurie perhaps?

Up to 14.5 at tip here at las vegas mirage sportsbook. I may have gotten in several points less than that.
