Yeah I'm thinking we take this one on the chin. Even if we were at full strength, resuming practice only on Sunday after a three week pause and then facing a top two team is a heavy load.

With the way this season has gone for everyone across college basketball, I'm kinda in the same mindset as this time last year: Cleveland - FIND A WAY

So we lose by 20 to them and we're coming off a 3 week break and Vegas makes us the favorite? And we're missing (unknown) guys?

I do not get that at all.

Arkley spoke with Boals for his latest article. Here’s a few excerpts.

https://suacbobcats.com/2021/02/22/bobcats-try-to-gear-up... /

Boals admitted not everyone will be available for the game Tuesday. And the Bobcats may not be complete for another week to 10 days.

“We still don’t have everyone. We won’t everyone (Tuesday), or even Thursday,” the coach said. “Maybe by Saturday.”

With Ohio trying to get its legs back, Boals is under no illusion about how sharp, or in rhythm, his team will be.

“I’m not naïve enough to think we’ll go out and play our best basketball,” the coach said. “It’ll be sloppy.”
Well....certainly not encouraging. I have to believe one key starter is out...if not multiple. I understand keeping the secrecy until game time to keep Akron guessing, but it would be nice to know who is in and who is out. Guess we'll find out around 1:30 PM.

I'm with ya, but there is a reason why Vegas has those tall buildings. What seems like a sure thing, typically isn't.

I hear that. Spread has moved to PK now so the bookies will probably need Ohio...I couldn't bet us today.

No Preston, Wilson, or Towns today, though Preston was in warmups. Arkley said Jason and Dwight are in the building, so no quarantine situation there. That's encouraging for the rest of the week.

Missing Dwight for sure. We could really keep them at bay if we could do just a little better on the glass. At least the shooting stroke didn't go away.

No Preston. No Wilson. Up 9 at the half. Wow.

Marcus Sears is really freaking good.

Is Preston COVID-related or injury-related?

That’s what I’m wondering. With his participation in warmups I’m thinking it must be a minor injury unless there’s some additional stage of protocol (can be in bench area but not play?) of which I’m not aware. Same for Wilson. He’s on the bench. Maybe a little more serious of an injury for him?? Guess we’ll need to figure it out for ourselves.

I'm shocked. Once we knew we were without 2 of OUr best 3 guys I didn't give us much of a chance to win after a long layoff.

Long ways to go with the way LCJ and Trimble can shoot the 3. Regardless of the outcome, down Preston and Wilson, you have to be happy with the effort today.

The Zips are playing like the team that has been away from the game for three weeks. This will be a good W after the layoff.

Stopped by to see what is all happening over there. They’ve been crying about the announcers the whole game...

I've been lurking over there for years. They can beat anybody in the country after a win and may never win another game after a loss. They need to take Aaron Rodgers advice and R-E-L-A-X.

Thank God the calendar hasn't flipped and we got February Groce instead of March Groce...

Great job all the way around. They double teamed Sears as much as we've seen anyone double team Preston, which seems like quite a compliment. Jalen White 3 for 3 from 3. Miguel & Granger were solid when they weren't committing dumb fouls. Roderick showed some great driving ability today to go with his usual outside shot. BVP, McDay, Brown all great defensively. Just a great effort all around.

5 game win streak, confident we make it 7 games going into the last week. Hell why not just make it 9 in a row heading into Cleveland?

Roderick hit the boards too, especially second half. Excellent all-around game for him.

Realistic expectations for Tuesday? Limited practice time and arguably playing the best team in the league after being off for 21 days.
I don't think we win by more than 20.
Nailed it.
