Looks like Russ and Rob will be in the ESPN3 call with Marty on the radio this game.

Facing a team whose coach was just fired. Expect them to be a bit more motivated. Not sure it'll make much difference, though. Their only win was vs ChiSt by ten. Lost to UIC by four and BSU by nine. Otherwise, no game closer than 20. Should be another game to rest Preston.

Good question.

I assumed it has to do with the 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew in the State of Ohio. I know most games with a 7 p.m. tip end around 9 p.m. But with media availability, some players needing to ice/injury evaluation or treatment it could stretch past 10 p.m.

No, there isn't a penalty, but as a state institution perhaps the university wants to be sure it is in full compliance with the governor's directive.

Could be. All our evening games scheduled to be played in the state of Ohio have 6 pm starts, at least the ones that have start times listed. The Buffalo game we have up there starts at 7 pm but I don't think NY has a curfew currently in effect. It could also have something to do with TV availability. Most of the 6 pm games are on CBSSN. Tuesday's game is on ESPN3, which is connected with local cable sports channels instead of the ESPN internet platform.

My problem with the 6:00pm start is it’s not a lot of time for fans to get to the Convo.

You know that bypass on 33 really helps cut down the travel time.

You realize there are NO fans? So the bypass is irrelevant! My post was pure sarcasm, and pretty good sarcasm at that! Where is the 'facepalm' emoji?

Waiting for Russ to say that a shot quieted the crowd.

Do we have cardboard cutouts that do "Winning Team, Losing Team"?

This was pure gold to read. Dangle the bait for someone to get confused...then roast them for missing sarcasm all the while you're missing equally as obvious sarcasm.

That at least makes re-upping the ESPN+ subscription last month more worth it.

Just turned on the set to check and it is indeed on at 6:00 EST on ESPN+. Likewise on re-upping the subscription.

Not at all. Coaching change and things like this happen. 14.5 was a crazy line.

Agree that this is typical of what happens for a couple games after a mid-season coaching change.

OU bench=6 pts, 5 rebs, 9 fouls. Starters only 6 fouls. We cannot compete for a title with this continuing. We can be 9-9 but not among the contenders.

I can't make any excuses for what took place in the second half. Folks...this NIU team is barely better than Chicago State. This was pure ugly. Friday night will be telling if we can compete with top 4-5 teams in league. We can't come out of Friday with another 15-20 point loss to a quality MAC school.
